LSD box confirmation needed
Rob H@RCH Engineering replied to Azz's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
Thats a stock box unless it has a aftermarket lsd in it. only way to tell that is to pop a shaft out and have a look inside the casing. -
This is one my mate has just tuned for some one! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=4411334084074

I will be at J27 @ 2:15 ouch!! lol see ya there!
-
This is what I'm saying I have seen Garrett inconel wheels that have melted due to tuning if they can be melted am sure pistons can!
-
I'm not pointing no fingers there just seems to be a bit of a pattern! Fueling and knock levels can be spot on but bottom end failure and melted pistons would seam to point more to timing issues to me, I have been there my self a few times and seen the various results poor timing can cause. I got through 3 bottom ends back in 2003-2005 due to poor map timing.

Gutted mate! dont brake it! it would be a crying same to brake it! But that 3 now in 2 months one on TGTT and 2 on here all mapped by TD some thing is going on!

They fit my 1999 SR and the 100% fit that no problems I think different year cars must use different carriers because mine and my mates SRs both had Glanza discs fitted with no problems.
-
Glanza discs will go straight on mate I was running glanza discs on my n/a for over 10 years lol you dont need to change anything just make sure you get the correct center bore.

Won't the head warp before the block lol that explains it all lol

That is condensation that is quite normal if the oil in the engine is clean you are worrying about nothing! If it was the head gasket all the oil would be the same not just in the cap. I've just changed my catch tank and that was half full of water! It don't mean the head gaskets failed tho. This time of year is all ways worst for it.

Most roller dynos measure axle torque and calculate horse power (remember they carnt directly mesure engine power before drive train losses hence whp being most accurate as this is what is directly measured!) were as dyno jet for example measures horse power and calculates torque. Most roller dynos know the mass of the roller, circumference of the roller and the moment of inertia they look at the rate the drum is accelerated and knowing this work out the applied force to the roller (axle torque) then this is devided by over all drive ratio which gives engine torque after drive train losses, h

I'm going because I was bullyed into it!

the GT axle bolts straight onto the starlet you just need the cables

Got some more bits done on sunday it was a bloody long day too! only got finished at 6am! I started off with a nice pile of shiny! with my watch dog keeping watch! Got it all stripped off then took the hub/shock off in one lump Gave the arch a clean and some black waxoil to freshen it up a bit then fitted the arms with super pro bushes and the TRD ARB. I cleaned the TTE springs up and gave them a quick coat of paint to freshen them up! and fitted them in one lump, I got some nice low mileage hubs from Si so they got a coat of paint too they dint need it but go

2nd This, I used to run Tein coils on the rear and stock up front and that was spot on, its no different to driving around with a boot full of bricks or a empty boot it will just change the characteristics of the drive a bit.

It will be better still now Ive been told im going!!
