  1. I have done this conversion and i think a few others on the forum have as well.. There is a lot of pin swapping that you have to do in the plugs to make it work, also depending on where you get the tacho signal from you may have to replace a resistor in the tacho unit to make it work. Heres a link on how to get the dials out and how to swap the pins. http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8006 And heres how to change the resistor if needed http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=46993 Its not too hard to do if you have patience and some electronic knowledge.
  2. They are rather common in wreckers over here. I could probably make a little business shipping 5e's overseas

  5. Mines currently at 1 week 1 day for the engine swap. Hate having to get lifts everywhere by my parents
  6. Cheers mate. Small update, the engine is completely in just waiting on my electrician to drop off the loom, ecu and tuning cable. The only things left to do are block up unused vac lines, put in the liquids, find an ae92 throttle cable (current one is 50mm short), put in the wiring and give it a road tune. With luck this should all happen on sunday. Can't freaking wait
  7. Todays progress. Ripped out the old engine and installed the 5e, just needs plumbing, wiring, a road tune and its done. While removing the 4e I decided that we should also get rid of the a/c setup. Will post better pics and maybe a vid of it running when I get home and have access to a pc
  8. The only info i can find about this car http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/auto/Keroy-Scott-s-engineuity_10082165 There must be a build thread somewhere
  9. Tomorrow morning im taking my car to a mates house to attempt swapping a n/a 5efhe into my ep91. I'll be using a modified 4e loom and a Link V5 to get it running. Will also be getting rid of the 4spd and chucking in a c52. Wish me luck
  10. 255,000k's, original engine and valve stems only just started showing wear a few months ago. Not bad for an ex-rental and me thrashing it for the last 40,000k's. Its getting replaced this weekend though.
  11. Copy the IMG code part on the links on the far right of that page
  12. Im using this setup on my n/a with the stock drums on the back and its awesome for road use. I do a bit of track racing and haven't had any problems pulling up. Ive got greenstuff pads which have held up so far, will try redstuff next time.
  13. First attempt with my new camera
  14. His 60' time was 1.88 on that run. His launch control didnt engage that run but he launched at about 6k rpm. His very last run of the day was his best launch by far but at about 30' the passenger side cv joint gave up taking out a brake line. :surrender:
  15. My friend with his 5efhte powered ep71 was at a drag meet today and set a new world record for a ct9 powered car. His best run of the day was a 12.95, cant remember the trap speed. His car is basically a stripped out ep71 with a standard 5efhe (stock compression) and a ct9b on it. Got a vid but the audio went out of sync when uploaded to youtube.
  16. Went to some track sessions at Hampton Downs towards the end of December and got some in-car vids of the gymkhana and track season. This was the layout of the gymkhana. Anyone else know we can now embed vids? Run 1 [video]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBTm9JgF2v4 Run 2 [video]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvgq58_eGdQ Track session Ignore the slight drift at 3:25 [video]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KcXAENp9f0 For some reason when the videos uploaded to youtube the audio got out of sync. Comments are welcome Made this thread on my phone so I apologise if some links don't work

  21. Dont even have to remove the bumper. Just remove the indicator to give you a bit of room and pop the ball connection thing on the top out, then slide the adjusters out of their spots. Ill take some pics tomorrow as i have to take out my drivers light although i'm sure there's a guide on it already Found it - http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....showtopic=17207 look towards the bottom of the first post for a how to.
