The motherfucker is done, finally!!! Finished road testing the thing at 8:30pm! got a small oil leak but i am going to have to live with it for the time being. Got the car detailed today and it came up lovely, well chuffed with it and also put in an AEM wideband so no more bloody melting pistons with any luck. Stealth warrior is back in the house!! Now to get my hands on some track time on the day, gonna get a session in and see how it goes, will try not to go too mental. Got two go pros fitted to the car too, so gonna get some good in car footage

I AM EXCITED!!!!!!

I was gonna spray the wheels but ran out of time, got the car detailed today, looks mint! considering its 1986 paint came up good, well pleased with it looks better in the flesh! now to find some track time on the day, if anyone knows anyone selling any on the day (usually is when people blow their cars up!) Cheers Taggy

They are cheap enough to replace so probably worth doing, but if its misfiring on boost its more than likely down to your spark plug gaps, sounds like the turbo is blowing the spark out. Take the plugs out and tap them against somthing hard, you want to decrease the gap on the plugs ever so slightly. You can do it by eye or you can use a feeler guage to get the correct gap, doesnt need to be much, just make sure you dont dent it to much that the electrode touches each other. Done this loads of times to fix misfires, works a treat :~0

No fuel cut, no fcd, 1 bar- help needed urgently
Taggy replied to melon's topic in Ignition & Fueling
the mods you have should be ok then, but you wont know what the fueling is like unless you rolling road it, if you just turn up the boost and dont increase the fueling, prolonged use will damage somthing. Keep it standard then once its ready do it Will turn into an expensive mess otherwise! -
no sorry have used any aftermarket ones before

Dont run any more than stock boost unless you have the supporting mods, it will go bang otherwise I.e at a minimum RRFPR - rising rate fuel pressure regulator FCD Uprated manifold to take out restriction in one of the runners Walbro fuel pump if your budget allows then either a rolling road session to sort the fueling out or you can do it your self if you fit a wideband by increasing the fuel reg pressure until you get the desired levels -

I think the point is why do you want to increase the bore size, is it because your bores are damaged already so you have to have a rebore to clean them up, or are you doing it just for a performance point of view? Only wanted to check as the HP difference will be virtually nothing if your bore the block out to its limit and put oversize pistons in, the actual displacement increase is so small your barely adding anything. Unless your engine needs its because its scored, i would save your money and just put the same size pistons back in, use your money on other areas will be much easier/chea

you know it will be fine to use still with chips in it? Mine has got a few from people using hammers to get it off in the past!
