i always wanted to be a mechanic but being from a small town coulnt get a apprentaship. ended up studying electrionic engineering for big money and it was so dull i jacked that idea. took up a wee part time cleaning job while i decided what todo and ended up enjoying it and progressed quite nicely to what is a decent wage for my area. has let me buy a really nice flat and own 2 cars and what not. am quite happy how it panned out to be honest all my mechanic mates hate working on there own cars and alot of them ask me for advice when it comes to modding them because alot of the courses these d

I've done a few With and with out cranes and help. Jack the car up slide something under the engine so you can move it easy pallets the best but I've done it with some cardboard before. Undo all the wiring and then just disconnect all the pipes/exhaust get it as low to the deck as you can with access to the engine mount bolts. If it's miles off the deck attach the crane to the engine and lower to the pallet then use the crane to lift the bay clear. If it's pretty close to the deck you can just lift the car straight over it. Last one we done we lowered the car straight on the deck undone the

It's kenneth brown motor engineering in Hamilton glasgow g52 4rt 01418826757 Dunno how far Drive it is was just over an hour either way for me. Spoke to one of the guys on the phone and he spent a good 40mins just talking to me about various things And differences between set ups. Which kinda won me over I like for people working on my car to show a good interest not the standard aye I'll do it just drop the car off

Don't really have much more info ha! I was advised of a garage that does a lot of rally cars and used to build them put the car in to them and the owner asked me to discribe how I use the car and what's been done to it so he could work our what was best for me 3 hours later i returned and it was a totally different car. He gave me a list of improvements to what he thinks would let him take it to the "next level" in his own words and said If am doing something dedicated like drags or track days he can adjust it suit whatever I want. There's no geo print outs or anything as I assume he wants to

I had mine set up by a rally car specialist and it handles like a totaly different car!
-
Far far to many most recent one was after a rear caliper seized My car sat for a week or so on axle stands while I found one. Fitted it super happy ready go away and wondered why it wouldn't move then dawned on me and sitting on axle stands ha!
-
There's a few of us around glasgow if I was closer id have helped but to far away ha are you just wanting to drop a new engine in?
-
Aye Mazda 3 MPS is a good shout

Ahh that's bad times mate I'd assume the cam Cap bolts where over torqued at some point to snap them there not really torques that high to start. Yea as morgey says helicoil is only way to really keep the head. I'd just be extremely OCD masking up the whole head to make sure nothing can enter the engine.
-
Can you take a pic? The one am thinkings is a double sided bolt I've seen a few sheer so be suprised if they actualy had the stretch to strip the head

seems strange it's listed as silver and it says it has coilovers but the top mounts are stock in the picture. Nice clean car If it's all legit when viewing -

looking at it id say there bolted onto the rear seat bracket that lets them fold but id still not trust it ha!. could be worse when i bought my car the harness had been cable tied to a strut brace and the seat had 2 bolts in it!
