  7. i run 2mm spacers ha! it was so close i actualy rubbed a tiny part of laquer of the caliper with out them and had to remove like half a mill from one of my wheel weights to clear them
  8. well its been awhile since i updated this. i rebuilt and sprayed my new lsd gear box and fitted my orc clutch before heading up to the drag strip with some mates. sadly for love nor money i couldnt get the car to go straight and it was pulling horednously all over the place so only managed an embarrsing 13.9. couldnt work out what was happening with it and with banzia approaching i decided to take the car with some of the scottish lads up to that and just have it parked up all day. the car was actualy extremely well received with alot of people looking and taking pictures off it. had a chat with a photographer from banzai who seemed extremely keen to take down my details and discuess possibly getting a photoshoot once i was done and happy with the car. for those with a keen eye ull notice the lower bar on the bumper is now black. the night before banzia my detailer managed to crack my bumper so as a quick repair was done with vinyl. the next day i got booked into a company that do alot of work for rally cars and they set up my suspention and it now handles absolutely superb. ive also been given a list of things to help take it further so am working on that now. wanted todo valve stem seals before japfest but i decided it wasnt work risking it with 3 days till after that. so i just left everything as is. me and dave set about on the 1000mile round trip for japfest and despite a small leak from the rocker cover the car never missed a beat met a group of other jap cars heading down pretty early on so got some good banter going down. show turned out to be far bigger and alot better than i expected so was a great day out followed by the 500 mile journey home absolutely destroyed with sunburn. sadly didnt get many pictures as i needed my for battery for sat nav! back from japfest and with a boot full of parts from id-workz i started the valve stem seals used this wee tool and was actualy suprised how easy it was. between work and the weather being poor i decided id rather just try finish off the rest of the work i wanted done this year then i can sit back and enjoy it for the rest of the shows. so start of the week i pulled all the igntion, fuel, and management system out. totaly ball ache fitting the wepr manifold but got there in the end just mocked up my fuel rail to make sure that was all ok while i wait on some wire and sensors to arrive to finish installing the dta. then hopefully get it mapped in time for scottish car show and get it down to japfest 2 and jae.
  9. ha its always the small details! am currently fitting the last of my parts to get it running mechanicaly bang on for this year then over winter its getting all removed to have everything painted and polished just mental how much time it takes to put into something to get it to that level for someone just to look at it and go aye thats pretty clean!
  10. i was planning on going but just decided to swap aload of stuff on mine so doubt it will be remapped in time.
  11. he had some bother with it so had the engine removed rebuilt and whole engine bay sprayed at same time along with alot of new hardware for refitting so same engine just fair bit of work done to it since.
  12. looking clean as ever! only one thing that bugs me is your clutch fork ha! only thing that doesnt look 100% prestine
  13. the speed sensor is fitted to the cluster on our cars. the cable gives the mechanical drive to the cluster which in turn sends a voltage to the ecu. i cant remember the exact pin but its marked as vechile speed sensor on the ecu pin outs
  14. There the same leads just the glanza also comes with a king lead. I have a set of blue ngk ones in the house there not as thick like the magnacores tho. Only after £20 posted
  15. I have one from my glanza was fine before I removed it I just bought a lsd one instead
  16. It's one of my mates very clean he recently spent a lot getting work done on it but the boy dragged his heels doing the work so think Scott's just lost the love for it at the minute
  17. querky wee cars i quite like them but not being a slim chap would take far to much abuse if i bought one ha!
  18. Aye if he can't work it out he's not much of a mechanic. Either use compressored air down the bores or string and rotate the engine to top dead center to compress. Then change as you would with the head off. There's a smart tool from blue point that removes and refits the collets with the hit of a hammer
  19. just when you set off? i get it on mine if i leave it for a few days as the brakes get some surface rust soon get a kinda cracking nosie as i drive off and then its fine.
