  11. Nice car, the FMIC is a bit OTT though.
  12. Cheers fellas, I will do! Not alot got done today. Took a few valves out to have a gander and see what the story with them was. The valve stem oil seals were replaced, but they were not ground in. So in the progress of sorting this out. My new oil pump has not been delivered, so I probably won't received it until Tuesday due to the bank holiday tomorrow. Didn't really get as much done as I wanted, but hey, I'm off work on Monday and Tuesday and there is always next weekend.
  13. Got a few things done today, mainly painting and tidying things up. I plan on getting the head back on tomorrow and the engine built up on the stand. Any way photos, as promised: Nice new parts http://s1054.photobucket.com/user/cgreen1993/media/WP_20130709_001_zpsbc8844c2.jpg.html'> Engine out http://s1054.photobucket.com/user/cgreen1993/media/WP_20130712_001_zps477fe29f.jpg.html'> On the stand http://s1054.photobucket.com/user/cgreen1993/media/WP_20130712_002_zps39bc8501.jpg.html'> http://s1054.photobucket.com/user/cgreen1993/media/WP_20130712_003_zps0f5364ad.jpg.html'> Honed and pistons back in http://s1054.photobucket.com/user/cgreen1993/media/WP_20130713_001_zps5ab22639.jpg.html'> Mains in http://s1054.photobucket.com/user/cgreen1993/media/WP_20130713_002_zps73e32709.jpg.html'> Big ends in http://s1054.photobucket.com/user/cgreen1993/media/WP_20130713_003_zps7071dad7.jpg.html'>
  14. Spotted a Blurple GT on Tuesday evening on the Balloo Road in Bangor. Only seen the front but had a black bonnet, possibly carbon. Quad light too!
  15. Cheers Phil, the ball is rolling! Well there was an epic battle tonight, between the heat, the engine and of course the beer! Needless to say the beer eventually won after a few persuasive texts and I ended up in the pub! Progress was still made, crank is back in, bores honed, pistons in. Tomorrow should see, the lot put back together and possibly running!
  16. I wouldn't say winning just yet lol. Thank god its started to cool down a bit, was mental with the heat earlier!
  17. Cheers dude! On with the progress, engine is out, stripped and currently being honed as I type this. Going a grab some dinner and beer, then start building her back up. Will report back later with photos!
  18. Yeah they can take a while to dispatch. Took around 2 weeks for them to get the item in stock. They did keep me updated once I dropped them an email. Once they had it in stock was posted on the Wednesday and was with me on the Friday.
  19. because race car Sorry, just had to!
  20. Cheers pal, hopefully I will have something positive to report back with tomorrow!
  21. Welcome to UKSO!
  22. I didn't want to leave it like I did last time, 19 months was far too long. Get it done, out of the way and never pull the fecking thing out again!
  23. Well there isn't much to report at the moment, will be pulling the remainder of the engine out today. Will get it on to a stand and queue the music. All hands will be on deck tomorrow, thanks to the bank holiday, (a little perk of living in N.I.) and hope we have a running engine by tomorrow night. The big end shells arrive this morning, huge thanks to Tuning Developments, so no delays in the progress. I have starting painting a few bits up as they have got a bit manky, will post photos later.

    5e fhe cams

Considering the price difference between a 5e-fe & 5e-fhe, that is a bargain. They have a rarity factor too, anyone who has a set usually keeps them. I've seen some go for £250+
