If it was a boost leak I would expect to get it all the time. I would be checking the alternator belt tension or the alternator bearing or an idler bearing. These tend to make a racket when cold and disappear once warm.

No, it affects the torque if any grease/threadlock is applied, unless otherwise stated like ARP's.

I think the Fiesta RS will probably be a bit out of range, expect it to start at around £21k. I'm certain they will be out later this year, but if there anything to go by like the Focus RS, there will likely be a long waiting list. It looks better than the Focus IMO, but don't let the brand name put you off, granted it's not as desirable as it's competitors.

How much you got to spend? The new Fiesta RS should be out pretty soon, then you got the Kia Cee'd GT which is a cracking car.

I used to have a Schumacher Fusion .21, 80+mph. Was great fun but it kept constantly shredding 1st and 2nd gear, breaking driveshafts, snapping belts, was a bastard to tune the carb. If I was to do it again it would probably be an off-roader or go electric.

This is exactly it, there's limited space in a 5 speed. Get a 6 speed, convert to 5 and have wider gears on stronger input/output shafts without the worry of running out of room.

Would you not have had to drill and re-tap the threads if their larger? Or do you mean you've got studs? Try the gasket Colin has mentioned, I would be claying the motor just to be sure of valve to piston clearances.

Are you using OEM headbolts or ARP bolts / studs? You could use the Paseo one, think its 0.5mm but it's not a MLS gasket.

What turbo and boost pressure?

I think Wossner are one of the only ones who do use 4032 Alloy. Possibly CP offer it as well.

4032 has higher silicone content Anywhere between 6% and 13% silicone usually. Not usually ideal for high boost applications because the gudgeon pin boss will flex and seize the piston in the cylinder. 2618 has below 3% silicone, flexes less, greater thermal expansion. Critical to get piston - bore clearances correct.

All depends how well the head is clamped down. What turbo you running at 1.8 bar?

Try an keep the units and decimal points correct lads. It's either inches or mm. Don't mix them as even conversions aren't 100% correct. Personally try measure in inches because this is usually tighter than the mm specified tolerance from my experience 0.04mm is not a lot, bearing in mind that 3 decimal places is about the best you can measure to, anymore than 3 decimal places is rarely significant unless you're in Aviation, Medical or Medical industries.

Yeah Ross are good. Will get a lot of slap with them though as they are 2618 alloy. Will take a lot of boost.

Even if it is calibrated, it will be calibrated with a tolerance. It might be that tolerance you're measuring.

Shouldn't take no more than a few mins. You not building race motors here lads! Spend too long on it, you'll end up fucking the seat, which is an even more cu*t of a job.
