  3. clutch release bearing is the culprit. if your gearbox makes a whining/whirring noise when its being driven then gearbox is goosed, I have had the same issue on my daily for over 12 months its never bothered me. Your mechanic is trying to rip you off plain and simple.

  10. if you have put new pads on old disks this can happen for a while until the pad has bedded in
  11. not too difficult if you have the right tools but very fiddly to put them back together. new pistons and seal kit cost approx £130

  18. is it not better to keep your oil cooler as low as possible so the flow is not fighting with gravity? I was under the impression the higher it is mounted the more chance of weak oil pressure due to gravity. please correct me if im wrong
  19. iirc yes there are a few different connectors on the loom by the thermostat side and knock sensor connector
  20. Cheer mate. I like to keep my throw as short as possible so I wont be ordering one anymore.

  24. I had the same problem not long ago - bleed it with the car running on idle. but its always best to bleed all 4 together starting from the furthest away from the master cylinder
