  1. Item For Sale: EP70 engine and box out of the project i'm on with at the minute. Item Condition & Description: 111k on the clocks, seems to have been looked after in it's time. I have had it running, seemed fine (no exhaust on it though so i never drove it so can't comment on the clutch or gearbox). The lad we got the car from was using it as a daily so i take it all was good. Carb looks good. I will be keeping a few parts i need for the turbo converion, such as engine/box mounts and a few other little bits. This willl be going to scrapyard with the next scrap run, so until then, parts
  2. Little more progress this weekend, the first weekend in forever that I haven't been busy with horses/other things. Got a spare tailgate with all the other panels and it happened to be a dx boot lid (no fog light to the right of the Reg plate) so got that sprayed up. Also stripped the front end down. Took the loom etc off so that the engine is ready to come out. Only thing left now is to unbolt the mounts, exhaust and driveshafts. Only took a few hours. And not a single bolt snapped! Gift! Bit of genuine rust on the original wing... Hence the replacement panels. I'll keep taki

  4. Just a heads up- i fitted a VF28 briefly to my car and it was an absolute lag monster! didn't spool up until around 5000rpm.
  5. Yeah £150 was a good deal- it obviously wasn't road worthy but still ran and drove etc. plenty of spares too. It looks just like baileys when i mix it up in the cup, looks so tasty haha. nice colour to spray too. Sprayed the spoiler now and Just in the middle of spraying/smoothing the bootlid

  7. Buys rotten/fucked S13... fits fake harnesses... instant drift hero. Jokes aside i personally wouldn't even run genuine harnesses unless they're mounted properly (ie to a harness bar). for daily use they're annoying as hell anyways i found...

Currently have the GT advance which a fair few of you will have seen at shows, the Red GT turbo that I bought as a non runner and sprayed/built back up, the glanza that refused to live and last but not least the little EP70 gem. So long story short, Sam bought this about a year ago now. We went and collected it on a trailer from Manchester and it's been stored in the lock up ever since. Try and find a cheap/crashed/mot fail paseo. you get the entire engine then, break the rest of the decent parts from the car and scrap the shell to get some money back (although scrap is on its arse). You'll need a 3E flywheel too if you're putting a turbo clutch on it. i think i've seen a flywheel conversion kit on id workz but you'd have to check.

  14. 10w40 semi synthetic, i usually get castrol when it's on offer in asda, but you'll find most generic oils are recycled anyways so not much difference between halfords/asda etc. obviously fuchs and the higher brans will have better properties though... you get what you pay for i suppose. if you change it regularly though i wouldn't be too fussed

I appreciate the comments mate (and i'm not being sarcastic just in case it sounded like i was haha) but she's been running spot on for nearly 2 years now since Will mapped it so i'm not bothered about trauling back through what might have failed, the pump was tested, injectors changed etc etc, as with all cars he maps, Will performs a very thorough PDI- bores inspected with bore scope etc by Will on the PDI and it's never missed a beat since he mapped it. I'm happy to say i've had a lot of fun in it with no major issues since his remap *touch wood*.

  22. Do 13 inch wheels fit over standard turbo brakes? I don't have any to try but just curious- starting to look at wheels for my EP70
  23. I was not in any way advised on the injectors, and ultimately i put it down to that. but it could have been other things like i say.
