  1. might come down for a bit of spectating
  2. Rule of thumb is for every 1 degree the inlet temp drops you get an extra 1 bhp. Like charl said its up to how you want your car to drive. Quick spool get a arc. For those who say just go front mount, try driving charls advance. Its a completely different animal with that arc. Nothing like the standard tmic. Both have pro's and con's. Some cars in the states that are running silly quater miles don't even run a cooler of any type.
  3. First one sounds like boost creep. I'm guessing you have a free flow exhaust and a air filter. The second almost sounds like fuelling. So it could be either map sensor or the throttle position sensor.
  4. Agree with the arc. Charls car Is fine. Has almost instant boost and keeps super cool. Well worth the money she paid for it.
  5. That's what I've been told Matt. Give sky a try. Plus I have a contact there now too.
  6. So who is everyone with to insure their cars? I'm due to insure the starlet soon and wondering who is best to go with. I'm currently with Adrian flux but if they quote me "stupid ammounts" I'll be looking to change. I've heard sky insurance are good. Any feedback?
  7. I can beat that. Got a quote on the shedlet. Everything declared, I'm 27 and live in hull. I'm a civil servant and I have every licence except coaCh and mini bus. Got ncd of 7 years. My cheapest quote was 1700 quid. My house mate had a 200Sx loads of mods same age and he gets his for 400. Try explaining that one.
  8. Yea I mean japfest 2 won't be able to make Jap fest. And I just used brush on stuff. It came out alright, but I think spray on would be better.
  9. Cheers for the comments guys. I will be honest and I used hammerite smooth! Awesome skills. Yea its come on a long way since I first got the shell. Hopefully have it ready for japfest.
  10. We will see Matt. Hopefully have it mot'd this week. But it all depends on if the final few parts arrive in time.oh does anyone know what the bulb type is for the rear lights. I need a stop and tail lamp.
  11. all in good time charl. but for now its a good job it drives and the engine sounds sweet also.
  12. hey all sorry for the long delay in an update on the shedlet. Firstly i would like to say a massive thanku to charl (funny onion) thanks for being there through this build and for putting up with me when i had many nights down the lock up. also thank you for buying me some of the key items have needed to get the shedlet running. well if some of you have me on face tube then you will already know that the shedlet lives and has been for a drive down a private road to check gears and engine etc. i let charl have the first drive as she has helped me out alot. bear in mind that the project is
  13. Be warned you can be fined up to £10k just for releasing the gas to atmosphere. Get it removed at a garage. If you get any on you aswel it can cause frost bite. Get a blast and you will prob loose a finger. Its nasty stuff. Don't mess with it.
  14. Some really good pics on here. Was hard to choose. The clarity in them is so good.
  15. Have you removed your air con evaporator yet from behind the glove box? That will tidy up your bay no end. Looking good with the cleaning tho dude.
  16. Have you checked the push rod to the master cylinder yet?
  17. My advice would be to check your master cylinder. Sounds to me like the piston inside isn't returning fully and may have seized up inside. Quick test for you. Crack off a front brake bleed nipple and see if the pedal travels more. It should also expell brake fluid from the nipple as soon as you touch the pedal. If not then get a new master cylinder. Another thing to check is the push rod from the brake pedal. Make sure it is attached and it is going into the master cylinder. You can see this from looking up under the dash on drivers side.
  18. I'm planning on running mine at 0.8 on standard management for now. Got a fpr and that's it up to now. Going for a emb when I have some pennies.
  19. I'll be on the look out for a seat when I get some pennies. Look awesome on the car and so comfy!
  20. Ever thought of doing bodywork full time Adam? Nice looking car lottie
  21. Mine is around the front. Yea it should fit from the back of the turbo. May be a bit snug though.
