Japfest Silverstone 5th May 2019 Tickets Emailed
Flaminsam replied to akyakapotter's topic in JapFest - 5th May 2019
Myself, Akyakapotter and a couple of others are staying in a hotel in Milton Keynes. There could be a possible convoy from the hotel? Think we need to be at silverstone for 7 though as Aky is sorting the clubstand. -
Haha wondered if you hadn’t seen this car looked well yesterday Will have to have a local meet at some point.

GT turbo won’t start after lying up for a while

I’ve been using an APS pump for my car and not had many issues. They also run upto 80psi fuel pressure if needed. Not too expensive at around £50 new. -

If you were to buy a new fuel pump they come with the fuel pump sock or gauze. Also your car must have been laid up for some time as that is very corroded. I would check for excessive moisture in your tank as that could give you running issues also. -
The efi fuse also powers the fuel pump. I had issues with my fuel pump blowing fuses as it was breaking down internally. Hopefully you will get sorted for jaE.

The 2zz coil packs fit down the 4efte spark plug tubes. Don’t try using Yaris coil packs as they won’t fit the 4efte. If you are looking for a coilpack for your corolla they are 47.24 from euro car parts if you order online and use code “weekend37”

J.A.E 2018 31/8/18 - 2/9/18

Agreed. Not the best decision that Nigel and the team have made. With John now stepped down it seems like they have lost the leverage that they did have. Even so 45 quid for essentially two nights camping still isn’t bad. I agree about the people travelling long distances. Members like Paul and Shaun who travel from Scotland may be put off by the lack of a day at the show. Could be more expense if they decide to come down on the Thursday and get a hotel for the Thursday evening somewhere nearby. I understand that the jae staff also have regular jobs so they will need to take -
Is there any reason why I get logged out after so long on mobile? Is there any way to remain signed in? On a lighter note, forum looks good and will take a little getting used to.

Funnyonion has a set that she would probably sell. Have r888 tyres on them too. Not sure on condition but seem ok?

I have a couple kicking around if needs be.

Sounds like fuel cut to me. Chances are you will have possibly melted a piston/damaged a ring land. Give it a compression test to be sure.

Is this a 4e head or a 5e head? I know they are the same but valve springs are different. Also did you say that the cams are different or are they standard? The reason I say is if the cams are ground to make the lobes bigger then chances are your valve springs could be binding up (no more squish of the valve spring) which could be the noise. The dollop of petroleum jelly could be masking the noise of the valve springs binding up.
