  1. You could do the rudimentary mod by removing the circlip and placing a washer underneath to up the oil pressure. 👍🏻 Entirely up to you.
  2. Never heard of them. I trust my aps high pressure pump 👍🏻 bought from jjc race and rally 👍🏻
  3. Can't wait for this years antics. Charl and I bought a tent last weekend. Can pretty much fit a starlet inside it 🙈
  4. Did a bit more to the Corolla today. Cleaned the deck of the block and measured it. Luckily got away with it and the block isn't warped! I've stripped and cleaned the cylinder head ready to have it machined next week all being well. 🙈 Also had a cheeky mod on the roof 😂 Any who all the new parts are here now. New headgasket, new timing chain and head bolts. Any who enough words. Time for pics.
  5. Should be an update soon 👍🏻 watch this space 🙈
  6. Only breather from the bottom end is contained within the engine/head. The baffle plate in the rocker cover sometimes clogs up restricting the breathing for the engine. Could be worth removing the baffle plate and cleaning it out then refitting it. 👍🏻
  7. Yea defo parts bus! Comfort and a bit of speed when needed 🙈 Don't worry morgey it will be getting a complete coolant flush. Radiator and heater matrix are going to be flushed plus a couple of coolant changes/oil changes when it running again 👍🏻
  8. Yea pretty easy to come to pieces to be honest. 😂 Watch this space as hoping to have the head on ASAP!
  9. Yup another starlet owner with a 2zz 😂 Well the head came off last night. It revealed some interesting facts about the engine. It must have had a coolant leak/headgasket gone for a little while. The block is thick with limescale as is the head. I believe that a bit of this limescale has helped cause the failure. The headgasket has blown between 2-3 and 3-4 causing no compression at all. Luckily the block looks in pretty good condition so after a good clean up and a check with a straight edge it could be good to go. The head will need skimming though. Where the gasket has gone it has pu
  10. After a closer look at the trusty ep80 I have come to the conclusion that it is too far gone. Tin worm has set in on the rear arches and sills and it would be a nightmare to repair. So I decided to look for a new daily. After a pure stroke of luck I spoke to Alexster and he mentioned a Corolla t-sport that his friend used to own. After a bit of a discussion I found out that basically the lad just wanted rid of it. I picked it up for an absolute steal and retrieved it back to my lock up to have a look at the problems it has. After some diagnosis I have found that the engine is about goosed. N
  11. Just purchased one of these myself! Blown engine though I think. Il get a thread started as the head is coming off soon 😂
  12. Yea should be going 👍🏻 need a laugh at people doing or attempting to do a burnout in a saxo 😂
  13. Everyone chip in and get a massive load of pizza delivered? 😂
  14. We use time certs at work. Brilliant bit of kit from wurth. Thing is they are pretty expensive! 😕
  15. Did I just read Starbuck in the line up?! 😮
  16. Can see about taking a picture this afternoon if that's ok? Is it just the wiring to the back of the switch that you need?
  17. This seems like a good weekend. Not just jap stuff there. Something for everyone. Would it be worth an interest and see about a small stand maybe?
  18. Metal base? I don't think they have a base as such as the battery sits on top of the gearbox mount in a plastic tray? Do you have a picture to explain what part you mean.
  19. The speed sensor signal is transmitted to the ecu by the clocks. In the back of the clocks is a small reed looking device in a glass looking bulb. The two parts of the reed touch together when a magnet (located on the back of the speedo) creates a pulse by allowing the two parts of the Reed to touch. Does your speedo work? If it does check the electrical connectors on the back of the clocks. Also these ecu' do not "store" faults that need turning off or deleting with a diagnostic. They are pretty much a very old version of amstrad, ecu's today are more like ps4 or Xbox one.
  20. Last jae t-shirts and hoodies were made up with the ukso logo on them with usernames or real names on them. This was a good idea as jae was the ideal place to hand them out and everyone knew who was who. If I remember right I don't think josh did the last lot of hoodies. The business was taken elsewhere.
  21. All it says on my mot as an advisory is that it has type approved seatbelts fitted. Oh and he also put modified interior 😂
  22. Na not really. I bought a emanage blue off eBay for about £100 with both injector and ignition harness. Only had to buy a map sensor.
