  1. Yea the thread is 3/4 unf. 👍🏻 Some places write it as 3/4-16. (16 threads per inch)
  2. BB gun? Or an air soft gun? Won't kill the feline but will upset it.
  3. All that for a dodgy relay! Glad your up and running again 👍🏻
  4. Done it with black locking aero catches. Measure as many times as possible before cutting. I used masking tape and measured from a number of points before cutting.
  5. Yea. left is the ep80 steering column and right is the ep82 steering column.
  6. I've got an ep80 rack on my gt. The ep80 rack is a higher ratio than the original 82 rack. I love it. You will also need the steering column to go with it as the 80 rack has a different spline diameter and is also further away so the original column is too short.
  7. If one of the sensors is removed I believe the radiator fan is left on permanently (it was on my gt) had to link two wires to stop the fan so it only ran on the coolant fan switch instead. Besides that no problems removing the wiring.
  8. I was going to say I had a few problems similar to this on my old gt. The resin in the coil pack cracked allowing the spark to discharge to earth through the mounting to the fire wall. Changed that and all was fine. Also when fitting the fuel pump I made a bit of an error by soldering the wires. Better off crimping them. Also if you can give the fuel pump a better earth. The standard earth point for the fuel pump is on the drivers side rear panel not far from the rear strut top. The fuel pump relay on a gt is above the glove box. It's green in colour if I remember right with five wires going t
  9. Second to last and the last pic are for the ac fan. The other sensor with that plug is outside air temp to do with the air con/climate control. As socks says the ones with the yellow inserts are the horns (green with red trace I believe) and the square plug (4 wire) would have gone to the air con compressor.
  10. The headlights work on a switched earth. So for example the headlight bulbs have a constant power and the switch inside creates the circuit by earthing the relevant wire. Nick had a similar problem with his lights and it turned out to be a break in the wire from the fuse box in the engine bay to the headlight switches on the stalk. We ran a new wire (after spending quite a while looking for the break) from the fuse box to the switch on the stalk. Can't remember the colour of the wires off the top of my head but there are plenty of wiring diagrams going around if you do a search.
  11. Ah the same model as Charls. Ep70 gl model 👍🏻
  12. Yup tiny drill bit. Easiest way ;)
  13. Yea my bad on the stubs I'm afraid. But after comparing the gt axle and the ep70 axle the gt one is much wider. Plus with Charls epic 8" wide wheels it could do to be as narrow as possible really 😉 The welders at work are pretty good, so should be a nice conversion 👍🏻
  14. Should be getting made out of fibreglass at some point but that is just the template. Playing around with a few ideas and see what happens. It will be getting solidly mounted to the chassis, not the bumper.
  15. Wow not updated this in a while :/ il have an update soon but here's a cheeky pic of what's to come..........
  16. When I did Charls alternator I removed the starter and took it out from under the inlet. 👍🏻
  17. Also don't put the piston in dry. Use a bit of clean brake fluid to let the seal slip around the piston.
  18. Nick........don't be a pussy. 😂 You loved it at jf2 😉👍🏻
  19. My temp sensor is in the same place as akyakapotters (nicks) saves on sandwich plates but not ideal as its behind the power steering bracket :/
  20. Sorry to put a damper on TRL guys but my friends turbo s2000 was mapped there at 390bhp. Didn't last long as it was running seriously hot. Although my friends evo was mapped there and made really good power somewhere in the region of 560bhp with 550lbft so it's all swings and Roundabouts. I do know that will is very critical about his mapping, doesn't do disclaimers, sign here etc etc. But if he feels that something is wrong then it's his rep on the line really. As for how the issue was dealt with I can't really comment as its one word against the other. It's just a shame that it all ended t
  21. Is it sprayed yet 😝 Loads of progress every night on this. Even some that hasn't been mentioned! Still can't take photos of everything I guess 😉
  22. http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/63773-anyone-had-problems-with-athena-mls-head-gasket-leaking-oil/ Has anyone read this?
  23. I may have spotted the problem. Where the oil gallery is from the block to the head it's not a joined. The oil gallery uses a head bolt to feed oil to the head if I remember correctly. On the standard head gaskets they are a tear drop shape (bottom left hand corner of the block on your pic) and your new head gasket does not have anywhere for the oil to go? Easiest way out? The coolant jacket.
