  1. Lol burkie. As if your driving down the road (in the right direction)
  2. NSF near side front (side nearest the kerb) osf off side front (side furthest away from the kerb)
  3. I have steel to fit the seat now. I'll be fitting it ASAP
  4. Hell yea loads of stuff done to the starlet this weekend. Can't wait to get mine sorted ASAP!
  5. Could be a lil tight. I'm sure it will be fine though. I've got quite a bit of slack left on mine.
  6. nice figures john. im popping across to see them with adam (pick1) at some point over summer. bit of advice on the td04 beast and see about a emanage blue.
  7. I had one made last friday. 14mm banjo, 10mm banjo and overall length 500mm. I had it made at pirtek and cost me 30. Was made from 3/8 stainless ptfe hose and was guarenteed also.
  8. All in good time john. Considering I've only had the car for 3 months today I think its gone rather well.
  9. small update folks. i went to pirtek today and had an oil feed made up. £30 for two banjo's (10mm and 14mm) and 500mm of stainless braided ptfe pipe. it can withstand pressures of up to 200bar and temperatures of upto 450 degrees. so should work well. any who i went to the lock up after going and getting a pas belt and fitted the oil feed. after using the vitara to slave from the shedlet fired up. slightly tappy to begin with but quietend off after about 10secs. oil light went off straight away and the alternator was charging. only now need a bottom hose which should be here tomorrow and fill
  10. Just a lil adder here taggy. For one excellent thread. I was told never to touch the bearing shells where the "friction" would take place. Something to do with the oil in our skin or something? Also I would advise anyone building a engine to use torco engine assembly Lube. Put it on bearings, piston skirts and even cam lobes. Also are you stripping the oil pump or fitting a new one?
  11. Yea I can see your fustration. There are some leads on eBay at the moment but I'm not sure when they finish. Either way it may be worth trying the electrical tape method first
  12. I agree. The only thing that you have disturbed is the leads. They can become brittle and can break inside. The fibres inside are pretty brittle. Also just a thought. Start the car up when its dark and look in the engine bay for sparks. Best to do it with the light off bud.
  13. Is your turbo wastegate ported too? I'm just wondering how with all them mods you have managed to keep the boost that low. On charls advance, the boost would hold at around 0.5 then spike to almost 1.2 by 4500rpm.
  14. Depends how long you want your gearbox to last! Stick with 75w90 if you can afford it get some shock proof stuff. Will make your gearbox feel like new again.
  15. Spotted a light blue/silver glanza this morning heading towards kingswood roundabout on the A1079 Beverley bypass. Was P reg and think had a uksc sticker on the rear quarter glass. Anyone on here?
  16. just my little input here, Enzo i appreciate you for paying out of your own pocket to keep this site going. you could have quite easily said bollox to it and shut the site down. i would be willing to pay. excellent site, met some nice lads and lasses and looking forward to this show season. ever thought of running this site like the sxoc? they have weekenders, track time availiable and also do shows. why not have a treasurer that keeps account of all the costs of running the site? then if there are any profits use them to arrange uksc weekender meets? maybe offer up track time for those w
  17. i got mine for 40 quid from a local scooby breaker, td04l aswel with an adjustable actuator
  18. lol ive just been doing some digging and yes asad they dont. kinda rules out what ive been saying lol. oops
  19. i would still check it though. if the box is coming out again take the flywheel off and make sure it fits on the input shaft of the box. it shouldnt be a tight fit. this is what i mean by spigot bearing for those that dont know what im wittering on about lol. (sorry its not from a starlet but it is roughly the same in most cars with a clutch) />http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSnuJmdmZn81t5c1vZBp6fH4ejRBgI4Qz3WJlXiLMlGTLzRXNpyBZkYruG0
  20. yup i understand that ryan but it may not fit the gearbox input shaft. if its a tight fit on the spigot bearing then it will not allow the clutch to release or freewheel.
  21. sounds to me like spigot bearing. the only thing that hasnt been changed is the flywheel. possibilities are endless.
  22. I don't think it would to be honest. Almost sounds now like the friction plate was put on backwards? Either that or the spigot bearing to me. The noise you get at half way could be the diaphragm spring catching on the friction plate. And with the clutch fully depressed the friction plate is binding on the diaphragm spring.
  23. exactly. or it is disengaging the clutch but the input shaft onto the gearbox is dragging in the spigot bearing in the middle of the fly wheel. with you changing the flywheel its a possibility that the spigot bearing could be slighly smaller or less worn than the original 4efe flywheel.
