  1. Good stuff, a lot of these cars are right bodged up sadly. Is it near being on the road or still a few jobs to do ?
  2. Do you have a MK1 ? You could try fitting a MK2/3 dizzy cap, might work lol.
  3. The oil pressure switch is only a spade connector so that should be ok. Unsure about the water temp plug, they differ from 98 to 96 spec iirc and are different to the GT.
  4. I tried to buy that backbox when he first put the ad up, never got back to me about it :/ It is a HKS one aswell, right early model. Never mind.
  5. This is my screamer, yet to be fitted.

  12. Also, The vehicle will be tested according to its age from first use-The only exemption to this is if the vehicle owner can present to the tester at time of test a letter from the vehicle manufacturer stating that the particular engine as originally installed could not meet the equivalent British emission standards. If this is the case, then test to the next lower emission standard. e.g. A 1995 car first used in Japan has a letter from the engine manufacturer stating that the particular engine (engine number to be stated) cannot meet Catalyst emission limits, then use the pre cat limits of CO 3.5%, HC )2000r pm. Thats why you need a letter, according to your MOT tester.
  13. Theres a lot of wrong info on this subject, mainly due to most MOT testers being wanks. I'm training to be a MOT tester by the way lol. Anyway, some info. 'The catalyst test is part of the MOT test for most spark ignition petrol engined passenger cars with four or more wheels first used on and after 1 August 1992' Try this, Vehicles Fitted with a different engine Test according to which is older, engine or vehicle. e.g. A 1995 car fitted with a 1991 engine (of whatever make), test to 1991 standards for emission purposes. Note: Its down to the vehicle presenter to prove engine age. Since most starlets have had an engine swap its worth a shout
  14. Was there never a manual option, or are manuals just very rare ?

  20. Im gonna buy it just because its annoying me being up for sale all the time.
  21. Its advisable to do a comp test with any car, especially GTs and Glanzas, lets be honest a lot have been abused sadly. Its really easy to do the test, efi fuse out, king lead off, spark plug out, screw probe in, flat throttle and turn the engine over, see what gauge says, repeat for all cylinders, piss case
  22. GTs are actually really insurance friendly, mine was 1.1K at 19 years old 0ncb. Thing to watch is if you do buy a GT, make sure its a good example, theres loads of shiters out there !!
