Good build so far man, quite like civics. My mate just melted his ek9 at crail last saturday, he had it on the strip, missed 4th, oil light came on and his engine seized. He says hes gonna rebuild it with high compression pistons etc but b16b rebuild wont be cheap. Anyway man i reckon you should turbo the civic, be a shame not to after all the work you put in.

What was your original question at the beginning? Why did an ep3 beat an st. I assume it was a straight line race from a rolling start. If so then acceleration may be a key factor, ep3 is na so no lag, you said the st had a big intercooler so this will add lag. Also where is all the power in the st? Top of the rev range? Its not all just about power, its weather its usable or not.

As everyone else is saying, its the WEIGHT, power to weight ratio is what matters here. Acceleration from a rolling speed also. And tbf mate the ep3 probably has more than just an exhaust.

I don't think a starlet 4wd kit will ever come up for sale. I you really want to mod, cut and weld, can't you use the drivetrain off another 4wd toyota? Obviously this will be a task but as you said anything can be modded to fit. Also would really like to see someone MAKE a 4wd starlet. Apart from the ones with two engines.

Really dont think its possible tbh. Whole different floor plan with tunnel for prop, space for diff, completely different rear axle etc. Best bet would be a lsd if you haven't got one already. Good luck though mate!

Also your current fmic, turbo intake and decat wont fit the td04.

But if you do go td04 don't buy a toyoshite mani, decat etc because they are not braced and they will fail. Best bet is a good make 2nd hand td04 kit.

Nice one man, my mate just got his ban lifted aswell but when he did his driving test again it was an extended version.

Any mechanic mates with the special o2 remover tool, thats what i'd use. Or get a socket over it and use a big breaker bar.
