So a wee bit of progress from the last couple of days. Engine out Split from the box Pikey dodged mount lol Sump off Clogged up Fucked crank oil seal and oil pump All disassembled Bearings scored Rings letting oil past Engine thats going in, out of a 98 spec V with 72k, hope it dosent cause too much problems with sensors etc. Clutch thats going in, bit of wear but should be ok for a while atleast The old block and crank will be getting sent to a machine shop at some point for inspection, then i'll start a forged parts stockpile, eventually. The gearbox is currently down at my work, i'll take the cover off and give it a once over. Hopefully wont have to strip it down and replace syncros ect. Gonna remove shit from the bay and have a wee cleaning session, scrub up the new engine too. Then order parts to get it up and running. Thats it so far. Dan.
