As said get the alignment done. Make sure you go to a reputable place though and get the before and after printouts. The machine we use in work is a 'hoffman' really good bit of kit.

Dont know if youre still looking but there is a place in stirling called newmarket, dont know how far away that is from you. My work (arnold clark) send all our maching work there, they can do pretty much anything. Weve never had a complaint about there work. Not sure on price though.

As far as i know there is a fair bit of work involved in the conversion, as a lot of the parts are different, but it has been done loads of times so surely all the info should be on here. I was contemplating doing the conversion myself but i was put off by the high price of a half decent n.a, then you basically need to source and fit half a glanza. Not saying its not worth it man, defo keep at it, will be MINT to see another sr turbo

Aye man, all my college work and tests etc will be done within 3 years, then in work all my job cards will be done soon as possible, so then i will be qualified and then i just need to wait to be time served. Its also quite good how they do week blocks every 4-6 weeks. Also i dont know if the big man himself comes in anymore lol

Yeah man most of the instructors are good guys, johnny is sound always pulling your mum jokes haha. GTG is weird because its owned by arnold clark so you cant really fuck about. In 2nd year out of a 4 year course

I would agree that an apprenticeship is a good way to get into a trade. Tbh it was my 2nd choice, i wanted to do automotive engineering at strathclyde uni but didnt get the grades. But the arnold clark apprenticeship im on the now is a really good one and the garage im in is pretty good aswell. The college is decent but as stu said its nothing like the real thing, non seized bolts, stripped threads etc. @ Stu. college is called gtg in glasgow @ Sam. pretty interesting actually
