Any HT leads available that aren't red or blue?
daniel_g replied to Flynn's topic in Ignition & Fueling
I have a set of lime green ignition leads, think they are the original batch that CJ Performance... (fuckin cunt) did years ago.. not for sale though, gonna be using them again soon. You could just wrap some good electric tape round a set of magnacores? -

I take it this 4EFE will be a RWD car? -
Thats the one! It was still a CT9 frame turbo yeah?
-
Are you using a turbo clutch kit i take it? 212mm is the turbo clutch size, the celica flywheel might be the same but you'll have to measure it. Or just pick up a Glanza flywheel if you can find one local for a few quid

V is looking smart buddy, nice and different to the norm -
There were 3 different Tongs hybrids i believe, Geo who ran the old forum used to be able to supply them. 'Think' the top spec one came EWG setup.

I used a turbo ignition system, ancillary loom, ECU when i turbo'd the 85, MAP, IAT & Knock sensors too. Also a standard FTE oil filter relocator. Had the sump modified for the oil return. 212mm paddle clutch kit & flywheel. Maybe more shit. As ive said in loads of these threads there are loads of ways to go about turboing a 4EFE, just depends which way you wanna do it

You must not be driving it properly then!
-
I love it, fucnction > form. Like how the passenger grab handle has been relocated to the roll cage aswell

You say it runs a WEPR VF kit? Which kind of VF tubro does it have on it?

Advise is advise, just sounds to me you only wanted to hear what you wanted to hear and wouldnt take anyones advise into consideration. Best of luck with your Vauxhall and the Vauxhaull forums!
-
Hang on bud im only taking the piss, have a look at the last Watchdog episode and you'll find out how Vauxhall were treating their customers. And you got plenty of advise when you were asking about youre Starlet so that comment is invalid. And obviously nobody wanted your fucked auto Starlet so you probably did the best thing by giving it to them and knocking 2k off your new Vauxhall. Plenty of starlets have been scrapped, 1 more isnt gonna throw them into extinction! Enjoy your new car, hope yours is in better condition than the ones ive recently seen
-
And i was at a Vauxhall garage recently, this is the condition they keep their 'brand new cars' in...
-
All Vauxhalls set fire to themselves, true story.
-
Not bad dude, can see why i load of people go down the new car route rather than spending out on older cars. Shame is with all these types of scrappage schemes, like the 2k one Vauxhaull do the car will end up as a can of red bull and maybe a kit kat wrapper.. :/

Not getting a Vauxhall are you?

what C series boxes can be used in a starlet?
daniel_g replied to Phil's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
I'll be trying it on a C50F at somepoint Plus the gold HRF GT used a longer 5th, thought they used one from the C53 D4D box? -

For a low rev cruising gear youd want the Yaris D4D 5th. Ideal situation -

A C52 bellhousing bolted to a Yaris Tsport box should work. Then just a case of making mounts to suit. Or see if the Tsport gearset fits inside a C52. There are two different boxes in Tsports iirc, i had an early Tsport as a 1st car -
