Since your in Scotland check out Stainless Creations in Falkirk, one of my mates work there and they do a cracking job. They did my exhaust on my EP85, i went for 2.5" because there isnt really room on a 4paw for a 3" Theyve done a fair few starlet systems now.

You could get a nice low mileage 4EFE engine for around 100 quid, you might wanna get the steam seals done and a cambelt change if it needs it. Then whatever the labour is if youre having a garage do it, say 8 hours, although it could be done in less than half of that. Saves a lot of messing about. As a mechanic thats what id advise

If you follow it down it comes to 'can you find an exact match' The answer is no, there is no 4EFTE in the book. Then it gets put through as a non CAT test which is very easy to pass, even with a decat. This does depend on when your car was made though!

A 94 should pass normally if youre car is not burning a shit load of oil and fuel. Do you have a copy of the emissions test?

Nah i never bothered. There was silicone joiners over the ends anyway. Mine was just done quickly, its probably best to take your time, rough it and prime it etc

I never primed it or fuck all, held up ok apart from the odd stone chip.

In this cold weather theres not much chance of stopping boost creep tbh, porting the wastegate will help a bit but dont be surprised if you see the gauge rising to fuel cut levels. CT9 turbos (in internal gate form) are pretty shit at regulating boost, once you start to do mods like decat / relocated filter / fmic.

The Gen 6 with the 3SGE is a nice car for the money.

They normally go for around 100 / 120 quid, seen some people ask for more but can take a while to sell.

I had a 7th Gen 2ZZ 190bhp one for a bit as a daily, was a decent enough car.
