New cheapo one will do the trick. And a new oem one is just rape from Toyota. Sure i have seen uprated slave cylinder in the Hyper Revs book, wonder if there are any still about..
Not very far dude, the belt runs the water pump aswell, with that not spinning the coolant temps will go way high and you could warp the head etc. Id say like drive a mile if you need to but cant you not just tow it?
4EFE is almost as good as a B18C.... Haha Reckon it'll be fine man We were maybe asking too much of it, the temps were sky high, plus on track etc. Some 4EFEs do tend to use oil though, so just keep an eye on it
Only experience ive had with Halfords oil was their trackday oil, it was too thin and it was the reason my pals civic wasnt enganging vtec, that was mid summer at knockhill though. It will be fine for a N/a starlet
This could be converted for buttons, most of the parts you need you could get from a EP91 N/a (pedal, shifter, cables etc) Youd just need a good C52/6 box and a turbo clutch / flywheel combo. Anyway, GLWS
All depends on personal preference, you can get 4E engines to 400+ bhp... A 5E will be less laggy. It doesnt cost 'that' much more to build a 5E over a 4E.. 5E block and crank used to go for about 150quid area. People say a 5E wont rev as high as a 4E but pretty sure you can still go to 8.5K+ RPM area i think has been done.. Personally id get a Gen1 5EFHE (fuckin solid rods) out a Sera and just run that turbo'd for a while at low / medium boost on a good ECU and map, it has a higher compression ratio and better cams. Save yourself the forging costs for a while, then forge it at a later date when you have a massive turbo to strap to it
