N/A vs. Turbo gearbox identification
5e colin replied to PaddyDoyle's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
just whey them turbo boxes are heavy na boxes can be picked up with 1 hand there very light -
no keep at it your na full pelt will do no bother its the torque of turbos that kills them in the end turbo boxes on a na are to long geared anyways it will slow down to much try sourcing a genuine cynos b box :) there the closed gearing out there and super light weight
-
4.1fd or 4.3 for na box ( depends wa car it comes of usually revs 200 to 300 rpm higher then turbo boxes they pull wel but with a smal reduced top speed what bhp are you running ??? as alex mentioned the gears are thinner so nooo 1st gear launches with them i had 1 for a while at a bar pulled very well
-
thats a good efford for sure :)
-
yes ep8 can take roof rack we have a window cleaner who drives a na starlet with them on cant say where he got them from ???
-
no bother if your stuck just ask
-
turbo minicooper feeler gauges wont do , u need these plastik strips that you put on the crank lobe then tighten the cap to its spec then undo it again to see how squashed the plastik has become so you can read it if its within spec with the sheet provided because those acl will al be same size not like toyota 1s that are diferent size
-
best not to mention where you going to put it on the net but if you are clever you can cut of any system of your liking in the car make sure no1 can find it i would not do fuelpump because every1 does pump so easy to run wire to it pm me i have a good tip for you
