no there is only 1 5e crank thats the 5efhe crank !!!!! there is no 5efe crank as they are 3e cranks ( same size )
if the crank is stamped 5e then it came out of a fhe if it comes out of a 5efe then the crank will be stamped 3e as thats what toyota used till gen2

you can get the hayes manual for the rolla 4efe al torques are in there make sure the threads are clean torque to 22nm ( untill the wrench clicks then 44 now you use tipex and mark every bolt at 12 oclock now you can ad your 1/4 turn to them and look at the headbolts if there facing passo side
try rotating the sugar cube on the selector arm on the box if they wear the gears become hard or double clutching while driving , if that works then its either master clutch cylinder or leaky slave on the box itselve
that has nothing to do with the problem neil is having on tik over im sure your afr ar spot on on tic over
it doesnt matter how rich the starlet engine runs on first cold start up aslong as it settles at 14.3 / 14.9 on tik over 1s at operating temps
mine is at 10 when i start it but settles after 3 to 4 min
