Also managed to get my Custom Earthing Kits made up and sent out! I've fitted a blue one to mine, I've noticed a few subtle differences:- Lower cruising rpm- Better MPG- Clearer stereo- Brighter/quicker lightsI'm sure Socks won't mind me borrowing his pic, my camera is a bit lame Check out how flimsy the original earth wires are in comparison! Got a few little cosmetic mods lined up, nothing crazy, just finishing touches sort of thing, watch this space! <2 days until Japfest 2..Oh yeahh!
redz11
was nice finally meeting you mate, your car looked the sex in person, soo minty clean, wish mine looked like yours all the same color the earthing kit is a good route, chris (nastyrash2003) put a direct engine to earth wire on mine and i noticed the lower cruising rpm, i think im going to have to replace all the other earthing cables after seeing this. Socks
hi amjad don`t mean to hi jack your thread i am N/a owner using similiar mods but better gains - Apex'i Filter w/Alloy induction pipe & Cold air feed- Corolla inlet manifold- 2" Cat-Back Exaust system (Straight through)see last dyno run these figures are ATWheels you can expect a little extra with al ittle more tweaking a fine result none the lesslyleLOL!Right, 1, that cant be at the wheels with your spec!2, the bhp figure looks like its just been slapped on underneath the kw figure in photoshop....3, Amjad, dont waste any more time or money trying to get piddly hp out of 1.3 fe mate! save your money and push it towards a FTE lump
Socks
and a quick check on your picture reveals this:sorry to mess up your project thread amjad... cant stand people that try and knock you down....
ryan lang
haha busted...also should the graph line not start at the beginning and not just be planted right in the middle?
Bluebear
Shouldn't there be two lines on the graph anyway?

the quiet achiever
hi it seems i have touched a nerve with some of you 1st the fiile has been converted so i could post in reply in australia the dyno measures HP as KW @the wheel , i just photoshoped file to show you the eq figure to compare not to annoy a dyno in australia can only estinate flywheel HP approx 30% only an engine dyno can give a more accurate figure in australia this graph was only to adjust settings after fitting manifold &T/B i did my mods in stages ea adj giving a better figure than the last sorry again for upsetting any body lyle
Socks
your figure is flywheel horsepower mate. NOT wheel horsepower. Just so you know
Amjad
3, Amjad, dont waste any more time or money trying to get piddly hp out of 1.3 fe mate! save your money and push it towards a FTE lump ;)sorry to mess up your project thread amjad... cant stand people that try and knock you down....That's exactly what I'm thinking, any more money spent on the engine would yield far greater gains on an fte so I'm just saving up now ;)No worries mate, bit of banter & discussion is all good!looking good amjad, been reading through your build thread. making me want an ep91 even more now. im on the look out!!good work mate.HAHA! socks u legend!gotta look out for one another!dont let people put u down amjad your cars amazing...........end ofThanks a lot lads, means a lot it really does! in australia the dyno measures HP as KW @the wheel , i just photoshoped file to show you the eq figure to compare not to annoy a dyno in australia can only estinate flywheel HP approx 30%It's all good Lyle! I dunno what your ATF figure would be like, is there any way of finding out what the rough transmission loss is like on N/As?Looking at the figure you achieved, it looks a new Exhaust mani/decat setup would clearly be far more effective once mapped on aftermarket management. The thing I found is that when I got my exhaust done, the K&N was obviously way too restrictive as I now have a bigger outlet for exhaust gases, the Apex'i intake helped with response & especially top end a LOT more. That's why I'm kinda confused as to how you've managed to get such a decent figure, especially as new headers & decat would improve your outlet flow even further! I know you have a bigger TB but still the Airbox wouldn't be as free flowing as a cone, which I reckon would suit your setup even more than mine? I did try fitting a 1.6 4afe TB, but had problems with the TPS so didn't bother! I do appreciate 4efe tuning, but I think boost is definitely the way forward with this project! A fast response Turbo using a Plug & Play ECU kicking between 200-220bhp is what I'd like to eventually achieve! ;)
