turbo Grant
Have a look round all the pipe joins for signs of oil. If the turbo is shitting oil you might see it blown out your air leak. Have you run it to operating temperature yet?
ollie ryan
yeah before i drove it i let it warm up

Lukew360
In the 2nd picture, bottom right, on the clamp with the bolt showing. Looks like it could be tighter? Unless it's just the picture
ollie ryan
Just taken all the intercooler pipes off and the airfilet off, there is no oils in any pipes and the oils feed return pipe had loads of oil in it, so I'm quite happy no damage has been done to the turbo, I also forgot to put washers on the de cat so there was a gap around the boltsIm going to re-fit all the intercooler piping and make sure it's as tight as possible then see what happens

ollie ryan
Fed up now!So still smoking and very little boost, I took the car to 5k rpm and had a bit of chatter but very faintGoing to check the wastegate for any damage and then im stuckHopefully shorty is coming over Sunday, I'm sure I have missed something small but no clue what so sure shorty will find it I also tried a vac line from the wastegate to the inlet mani and still nothing, what part of the inlet mani should I put it too?
_shaun_
any part of inlet mani to the bottom of the waste gate i dont see how it would work with out the vac line tbh your exhaust gas pressure would need to be like 0.7bar lol
SiCaln
trust me it worked, had no issues just running it on the spring rate of the tubby - never connected the vac lines
