turbo Grant Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Never seen the murrey clamps before, might have to invest in some for my car as they seem to be the nuts for boost pipes Quote
abbott Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 Never seen the murrey clamps before, might have to invest in some for my car as they seem to be the nuts for boost pipes Yeah very good clamps was looking around at alot of big power scoobys and evos and that seems to be the thing to use and looks smart to. that picture of all the clamps that £90 and ive still got to do the hot side intercooler pipe yet but for your build Grant its perfect and a nice finishing touch Quote
shorty Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 are they better than micalor clamps then?? i use micalor on mine as my mate who works in a hose/fluid transfer company said they do a great job. just curiouse realy lol looking nice and smart though dude Quote
abbott Posted February 3, 2013 Author Posted February 3, 2013 UPDATE Ordered a defi link cable from RHD JAPAN so i can run a boost gauge Mounted boost gauge I decided with my cusco catch can to have some -8 fittings welded on which a mate did and discussed with Ricky from Race-Tech to modify my catch can and baffle it so no need to run filter. also Ricky supplied me with a fitting to go from my Fuel 6mm pipe to an-6 fitting While i was up at the Autosport show i picked up a expansion botter cap Fitted the Murry Clamps to the intercooler Sent the Expansion bottle, Catch canand bracket, Cusco BMCS and alternator pully to the powder coaters and bolts and fitting to the zinc coaters Put the cans together and mounted in the bay Quote

MikeGlanzaV Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 What's the advantages of running a baffled catch can?? Liam - A baffled tank helps turn the warm oil vapour into a liquid that can then collect at the bottom of the tank. Without the baffle the vapour can be drawn straight through the tank and back into the system rendering the whole point of the tank in the first place useless. Looking great by the way matey! Quote
Liam_D Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Cheers for the explanation Mike, thats something i might have to look into getting done. Quote
