lol thanks adam. The braided hoses i got from on here i do believe the fronts are not from a starlet though as the fittings were incorrect. ive sorted it now though by making the new pipework up.

The rear arb sits nicely on the car. Maybe the brackets are a touch low but i can always sort them out when i have time.

BIG NEWS!

After alot of searching and contacting Various Companys about a TD04 external manifold i have finally bought one.

Took the plunge this afternoon and bought a brand new manifold, down pipe and screamer. (there goes my hard earned pennies!)

All i need now is a External wastegate and some more vac line to plumb it into the Profec B.

Im not going to let on what ive bought yet, but it will be getting wrapped and fitted when it arrives. :yahoo:

Next on the list of things to do will be brakes . The standard ones work fine but i wouldnt mind upgrading to maybe celica st185 brakes.

Any who enough of the reading as i know you all like looking at pictures. :p

This has been a long time coming........

The shedlet has been in hibernation for a few months now. It's last major outing was jae last year 😒

Charl thinks I have lost the heart with it but I've had a bit on recently so I want to get back into my project. So I've been out and bought a few things for the old shedlet.

Firstly a massive thankuuuuuuu to Akyakapotter for selling me a set of D2 coilovers. Sold as spares or repair I made use of my skills and repaired them 😉

One of the seals had gone in one of the front shock absorbers so I stripped and cleaned all four of them. Put new oil in them and recharged with nitrogen :)

They have now been fitted to the car but obviously need lifting a touch. I sit in the car and the wheels are tight up against the wheel arches!

So I shall be lifting at least the fronts at some point soon.

I bought a roll cage from charl and just had to fit it. It's not any brand but it does have a harness bar so that's cool :)

So now we move onto the engine. Since my last update not much has changed apart from the purple hose kit, removing the power steering and the ZISCO ram horn ex gated manifold. Il get a decent picture of all this when I pop to my lock up later on. Also I have been creative in my ways. I decided I wanted an oil cooler for my starlet to help with keeping oil temps at an optimum temperature. So on one of my many trips to scrap yard I decided to do a bit of digging. I found this on another toyota.

It's a oil cooler that utilises the coolant system. This saves on having remote oil filters, oil cooler radiators and endless amounts of pipes. I wanted to keep connections down to a minimum and this seemed like a good idea. So I took a spare oil filter housing to work and modified the long oil banjo by shortening it and re threading the end to suit the starlet. Turned out they both used the same thread! For anyone interested it's 3/4 unf. So I ended up with this .........

I intend on using the original turbo coolant lines to work this into the starlets cooling system. 😉

I do have other additions but no pictures I'm afraid. These are bigger brakes for the front. (As can be seen in the coilover pics) many thanks to Zcars for drilling and machining the disks for me. And also I have an A pillar pod that I purchased from dangarbutt. Still need to move my gauges around to fit but that's a job for later on :)

I'm still yet to have the tracking sorted properly yet lew but it drives nice. It's a complete steering rack from a ep80 that I've fitted. It's obviously a bit heavier when stationary but when your moving it's quite a nice drive.

It was a bit of a pain to do though as it needed the steering column changing. The u/j that goes on the rack is a lot bigger due to it not being power assisted. I ended up keeping my original column so I can adjust steering wheel height but changing the inner shaft of the column.
