dan106
nice updates, little touches make a big difference good to here about the new job, onwards and upwards Cheers dude, unfortunately the new jobs monthly pay so im fully skint for a month! Im looking forward to my dash all being in one piece, waiting on the dial surround and centre console to get flocked by my mate, that and i ned to replace the heater matrix as its pissing out all over the passenger footwell! A couple more small updates Got the temp sensor in and working, although the fan kicks in at 60, when the temp of the water in the rad is at 80, anyone shed some light on this? And got some stubby valves ready for when the bandeds are painted with some genuine shot bullet casings for dustcaps And for the first time in weeks i cleaned it Standard steelies suck dick! 5T4R7ET N/A
The fan should kick in at 95 and bring the temp back down to 90. That's what I get on my gauge.Normal driving between 80-85Has the wiring for gauge been earthed properly??
dan106
Hmm, its earthed behind the clocks, wheres yours earthed? It didnt surprise me tbh as the gauge was cheap, i wasnt expecting it to be perfect
Azz
There's a screw hold the the cross member under the drivers side dash which I use as an earth works perfect

dan106
Well, done the heater matrix over the weekend, horrible job. A few pics I took Just starting to strip it down As a bonus, when i took the glovebox out there was £40 hiding in the back of it! All out Managed to slice off a chunk of my finger without even realising And of course, it rained for a while. The screws/bolts left over, i hope theyre not too important haha Its all back together. But the indicators no longer self cancel and the speedos broken, really lost love for this car now, especially after pulling out and refitting the dash by myself, utter ballache. Still need to fit a caliper, bleed the brakes, service, rad flush, new clocks and so on, fed up of fixing this car!

Check it's seated right Na its not the cable, somehow the speedo needle got stuck in the plastic surround and i drove it like it, it now reads like 30mph lower than it should
Glanza-Ben
I've not had a speedo for months lol it stopped working so just left it
5T4R7ET N/A
try taking the speedo cable out and also pull out the speedometer needle* and set it back to zero. then plug the speed cable back in and see it that works?? dan106
Had a busy weekend, Bandeds on Lowered the front more ( and runined the arches in the process) And a buddy of mine does detailing so he had it for a few hours on sunday, its now a different colour! And a little write up of the detail if anyones interested in seeing how dutty it was lol http://www.forum.dirtystancing.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=7413 Also since putting the bands back on the beam seems to have shifter over again panhards seized, probably gonna have a melyted tyre by the time i get to japfest! But while i jacked it up i forgot about how low the spltter now was And i found my car does a tripod!
