jayc-glanza17
first test drive last night..and my GOD, its fast, and full grip in 3rd gear, with better tyres, reckon 2nd id get grip too..so will see it at japfest..i am still shocked at the smoothness even though im running 630cc injectors..i would reccomend Omex, or another standalone to any starlet owner.. jayc-glanza17
been getting the car ready for japfest today, as had day off.. so I re sprayed the rear of car as its stripped, fitted new air filter instead of being in fog light, so can get better cooling to brakes.then gave her a little polish, first time since July.lol heres some pics http://s601.photobucket.com/user/jayc-glanza17/media/DSC_0501_zps81896aea.jpg.html'>http://s601.photobucket.com/user/jayc-glanza17/media/DSC_0500_zps07667856.jpg.html'> http://s601.photobucket.com/user/jayc-glanza17/media/DSC_0499_zpse34d7bc0.jpg.html'> http://s601.photobucket.com/user/jayc-glanza17/media/DSC_0498_zps524dd907.jpg.html'> http://s601.photobucket.com/user/jayc-glanza17/media/DSC_0496_zps59d0bce4.jpg.html'> http://s601.photobucket.com/user/jayc-glanza17/media/DSC_0494_zps6f02d91a.jpg.html'> http://s601.photobucket.com/user/jayc-glanza17/media/DSC_0490_zpsd74ec7f5.jpg.html'> http://s601.photobucket.com/user/jayc-glanza17/media/DSC_0489_zps0c94b4c7.jpg.html'> http://s601.photobucket.com/user/jayc-glanza17/media/DSC_0502_zpsf304469d.jpg.html'> http://s601.photobucket.com/user/jayc-glanza17/media/DSC_0503_zps775e8ad0.jpg.html'> http://s601.photobucket.com/user/jayc-glanza17/media/DSC_0504_zps9f56d4a5.jpg.html'> all comments welcome. jayc-glanza17
best sounding exhaust ive heard on a starlet.. nice and deep tone, and mental when you floor it, and when it pops, its very loud.lol.
steve1093
Haha yeah, have only heard good things about them. My only issue would be if it was to loud to use on a daily with a stripped interior and no sound proofing?
jayc-glanza17
its loud, but I love it tbh, as its sounds awesome, but then mine isn't a daily, might be too much, but they are good tho pal..

TrisK
Am sure the rev counter works off the dizzy trigger input mate. So if you still have the wires for that, will be worth trying. Failing that can you not use the crank trigger? From the omex install guide The tachometer output can directly drive any tachometer that is normally controlled by an ECU. If the tachometer is from a vehicle where it was originally driven from the coil negative then you may need to use a ‘tacho driver’ available from Omex to give a voltage spike to trigger the tacho. Some very old tachos were ‘current’ driven and triggered from coil positive. Omex can supply a convertor box to allow these to work. Was good to meet you on Saturday mate. Car looks great, and that coil set up is the tidiest I've ever seen!
