smithyithy Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Too wide IMO, but it's your car so each to his own Couple of points to consider though - Stretched sidewalls, while not technically illegal are a massive grey area at the moment, in fact they have been for ages, but the police are getting more active on them now and using tyre manufacturers guidelines as a base, for example a 195/45 might be stated as fitting up to a 7J, so fitting one to an 8J or 9J, while possible, could be used against you. Secondly, and more importantly, in that rear-on shot, the actual tread protrudes from the arch, which is fully illegal, so make sure you get some arch pulling / rolling before rocking those bad boys on the road ;) Quote
