I'm part time..I walk to work don't eat much don't smoke, few weekends in just be more aware of what you buy half the stuff you don't need don't know how I have coped uptill now lol good mates and home bound gunna have to save for a forged engine, things are better when you save imo gunna take a long time!

Depends really what you earn and what out goings you have.

I've a new build house and 06 BMW daily driver and a forged gt.

But I worked full time have never drunk or smoked and my wife works full time also and doesn't drink.

Everyone's situation is different.

Plus I'm 25+

I have a mortgage and two cars and outstanding loan on my previous glanza, one being my glanza which is being built fully forged etc. Etc. And one is my work car which Is on finance, luckily I paid well so can still afford to go out and on holiday a few times a year :)

So it's either stay in be careful with money and save or loan it? Doesn't td or racetech do a monthly thing? I wouldn't want to loan because knowing my luck I'd break the bloody thing and still pay it off with interest -.- really need a full time job money's not bad just can't get more than 30hours overtime is okay but then it defies the whole point because taxman rinses me :/

I'm building mine on second hand parts a lot cheaper than buying new and that way you won't lose out much if you ever sell it on because at that cost your always find it hard to claw what you put into it back, and always set up a direct debit of a few hundred a month into another account so I don't get tempted to spend it elsewheree

I pay for mods by working my arse off and I'm on a pretty decent wage! Don't smoke, drink or have that much of a social life so spare money gets spent on what I want.

Currently saving for a new car and a house though so probably not much more being done to the glanza

I drink like fuck, eat out alot, have gazillions of direct debits.. on a shitty wage atm, so no forged engine for me :( lol stock internals, ct9 club ;)

Pretty much the same man haha, im out almost every weekend, i drink far too much, enjoy the casino a bit too much, go on holidays and trips away, run an expensive daily etc. Having a good social life and hanging out with mates is far more important to me than sitting in the house being sad as fuck because saving up for a engine lol.

Although i do need to find a happy medium, been rejecting the 85 for a while now and would really like in on the road.

work full time, odd weekend out, sadly im a smoker, i live it home but everything i buy is out of my own pocked there isnt a nut or bolt on my glanza or my eg6 that was payed for by someone else, rent a runit with a mate also, payed for all my machine polishers and detailing stuff constantly renewing products etc, dont get car parts for birthdays or anything, it just takes time mate i saved for a while to pay for my stuff, just really depends on your situation everyone is different, just watch wat you are spending

imo taking a loan from the bank to pay for car PARTS is rediculous, a car is fine but parts is daft ! each to their own tho !

I got into oil and gas straight from school but as an apprentice i only worked in a workshop. worked my way up now I work for a company called secc oil and gas who make subsea and topside couplings that produce oil etc. I have started to work away with an additional bonus rate on top of my normal wage, depending on the area depends how much I get for example I get an extra 70 pound a day going to Aberdeen but on a sat and sun I get 100 pound a day however in Nigeria I get 150 pound a day on top of my wage and 300 pound on top for sat sun

Im renting my mums house but looking to buy it ,I have a daily driver 13 plate corsa and the starlet gt, but even with my trips away im finding it hard because I don't want to skint myself or get into debt (again).

I got lucky with my starlet though as it came with forged engine but no paperwork so I got the whole car at a steal of £1200 with a heap load of extra bits

I'm happy just having a 195bhp in the GT on a CT9, someone please correct me if I'm wrong here, but going forged means big power obviously so time you forged it, then a td04/td05 set up sorted, a decent ecu aswell, and put mods on the engine to support it etc then uprated brakes etc the list goes on, what we talking here 3/4 grand spent? Maybe more? Don't get me wrong would love a forged starlet running 300bhp + some on here are absolutely metal but spending that sort of money on a 1.3 IMO I would rather put the money to something like a pulsar and sale the starlet as it is :)

Hahaha ive only got mine to have fun with and it was my mates like 6-7 years ago, finding it for sale was a blast from the past. Forged doesn't always mean big power, I like mine to be reliable so it can be used hard but driven daily if I wanted to. I also like the idea of showing up people with expensive cars as well , ok mine will never be as smart or comfy but mines for driving not showing off

Define proper ?

Whats the point in modifying then ?

9/10 proper cars couldnt catch a 300hp starlet so what you on about haha

M3, Skyline, Evo, Impreza, S4, RX7, 911, Cayman. Get the idea?

You seem to base a cars capabilities on it's straight line speed alone.

tuning cars for some people is all about power and straight line speed, then they regret it when it comes to a corner and they bin them.

I think more people should start with the brakes suspension etc , will make the car feel 100 times better to drive and you would enjoy it more even with less power

x2. I thought it was all about straighline speed until I got my EK9. Nothing beats a well setup car, thats quick in a straighline, but can also perform in the twisties.
