career progression for a 28 year old!
turbominicooper replied to richglanzav's topic in Lifestyle General
Do a car spraying apprenticeship and at same time get some Microsoft courses done out of hours (mcitp). Then u can switch it round and start at bottom of IT ladder and spray for extra funds -
I've got one off a 5efhe that is provisionally sold. If the lad pulls out ill let u know
-
Happy days. Do u recommend changing head bolts on rebuild or is it safe to re use old ones?
-
Yuh sound and what's the deal with running the engine I after? 500 miles on running in oil then re torque and change oil??
-
So u reckon do bearings and put fhe in as it is then do pistons /rings at a later date?
-
yuh these were my results on the fhe Piston 1 - 160psi (max = just under 200psi) Piston 2 - 145psi (max = 170psi) Piston 3 - 150psi (max = just under 170psi) Piston 4 - 90psi (max = 105psi) so basically 2 engines need rebuilding

maximum boost on TMIC?
turbominicooper replied to turbominicooper's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Ah that's good to know thought they were only good at stock boost -
Yeh but that's down on #1 compression too, u think 4 psi on the td04 b ok?
-
as above, how much boost can pass through the TMIC before considering going FMIC (ie before seeing a loss in cooling performance)? cheers
-
fte, fhe is sitting on the floor my garage waiting for me to b arsed to buy a rebuild kit and fit it. im in a predicament now tbh as i needed a driver and the fte was meant to turbo the sera (to sell) to fund the gt 5e conversion but now ive got 2 dudds half thinking put the fhe na whilst im doing the sera up

take it while u can i say
-
yep we will, shame the feedback thread is locked ;)
-
apology... for what? ive said since deleting the turbo from the equation the smoke has dramatically reduced however now i have random plumes which was a secondry oil contributor to your turbo kit. anyway after i said id report back u closed my feedback thread for your turbo so i couldnt comment further on it, how exactly would i of apologised ;)
