Bodywork isn't cheap is it. I would've just done a full respray but the rest of the car is so good I wanted to keep as much original as I could. At first I was looking for just an average car to strip and go tracking but as I kept looking I got obsessed with finding an immaculate one. I'm worried now though that this one is too nice to do that. I'd like to get it on a track at some point though. I can't even park it anywhere near something else though- I'm that guy that parks way off out the way ha ha. I guess I've done what I always do and be too anal with a car to the point I don't want to

I think bc's are perfect for you mate and the track use but feel a little too harsh for me. Meisters seem pretty progressive though. The rarb will make a big difference. Get some decent brakes on there ;) i know you're running glanzas but the Levins are awesome. I was looking into the Fensport light weight pullys last night but that'll take some more saving up for!

I don't know how I resisted it for so long ha ha I guess it was money. I'm still paying for it now as I can't really afford to do anything else just yet after the paint and splitter- so happy with it though, the bloke did an amazing job for not much money

Are you just on coilies at the min? As soon as I get any suspension issues I'm going for meisters on interest free finance ha ha. Although mine handles pretty well at the min as it is
-
They're great fun arent they. Wish I had a spare £1000 so I can be where I want to be with performance
-
No massive updates just that I was weak and dipped into the civic rad fund for some glanza boot plastics. Just need the carpet and then the interior is done. Anyway here's another pic..

Looks lovely mate

Love this thing mate- the amount of work that's gone into it is crazy. we used to have a red gti as a family car and my sister had one the same colour as yours for her first. Nice to see one being saved. I do love the original wheels but I like the black on grey too
-
Love this thing mate- I'm a fan of the face lift too but these are really stealthy no one knows what they are
-
https://youtu.be/HcLAGFQv-ck Bearing in mind this thing shifts pretty well and the driver seems half decent- someone would be deverstated if they got lapped by it ha ha
-
Shit hats not great. They're a pretty cool and rare car now but it looks pretty shot and you are saving all the bits you can. Is there a big worthy difference between the two cars? I love how the engines coming from something unassuming- reminds me of the 'road kill' Dodge Charger where they got the Hemi from a motorhome ha ha

98 spec upgrade interior is what i've got and it lifts it nicely but still pure 90's jap ha ha so probably not what you're after
-
I'm guessing you didn't pay much for it? you don't hear of many going bang to be honest
-
Fucking weather is annoying at the min isnt it. The 2.2 would be cool as hell but i really like the fact you're saving the heart from the aerodeck

getting more power from non-turbo (4efe)Starlet
Pikey009 replied to starlet ryan's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Has anyone actually done it affectively? I know the kits are good on diesels -
Some good info on here thanks very much. For me I'll be using stock 4efte parts and see how the engine copes and how the car feels. Plus it's cost affective and by the time it comes to it. By the time I go turbo ill already be running a piggy back along with a few other things to spread the cost out. Even on low boost we will be running near double the stock power and tourque so it'll be good fun
-
I'd say that's added a decent amount mate. I'm planning on doing the same and if I get around 100 I'll be happy

A lot of people are put off by second hand ecu's plus there's no warranty, unlike buying one from a tuning company and getting it mapped by them
-
I personally think ebc are shocking and would never recommend them. Used them in the past on my gt4 and they were dangerous
-
Wow! That's shocking. Get a project thread up mate. Would've been cool to have left the black bumpers and turned it into a sleeper! It's looking loads better now though
-
Welcome mate, get a build thread up

I think I now know how it all goes together. I'm guessing glanzas and NA's have the same battery mount that the tray sits on. There are four different adjustments you can have on the battery tray on my car- two fit with the standard intake and two more if you rotate the tray through 180 degrees which I presume are for the glanza and seems to move the battery closer to the air box allowing for the glanza expansion tank

Brilliant mate

That was the official figure but most owners get near 300 on a stock p1 in good nick
