As long as you keep the powdercoat on the outside it would be fine. But i wouldnt trust it on the inside, had the probkem recently. Ive known hammerite to be shit. Id go for a decent meant for purpose engine paint. At the emd of the day the starlet is only gonna piss oil all over it

Did you replace the gasket on the m/c? I took mine off and fitted and the abs removal too and had no issues.

Bay washed this weekend, came up really well with screwfix no nonsense degreaser, slight touch up in a few places but real happy with it: Also got the bits back from the powdercoating, real happy with the finish and colour. Just a bit annoyed they have done inside the sump and rockercover which is gonna be a pain to sort out.

Had some bits blasted and powdercoated, firstly the shot blaster blasted the inside of the rocker cover and the inside of the sump which then led to the powdercoater also doing the insides. I dont feel comfortable with this inside the engine so need a way to remove it, ideally with out having to start all over again

GTtis are around glanza money or less to buy atm(if you can find one) Only around 17 left. More attractive to older buyers who will remember them from their youth and be more likely to pay more money. They arent really showing any sign of going up in value so i imagine starlets have a long while yet if at all

Think there is a difference between people putting prices up conpared to selling for the extra price. Yeh a few have sold for more but still loads will be selling for cheap. These cars are never going to be worth Renault 5 money etc, there is a steady flow of them available from japan

0.75 is quite alot, i know with the gtti crank they say dont go over 0.5 unless you the crank gets nitrifide again

Resetting the ecu isnt going to change anything ecu is constantly reading sensors and changing anyway.

Looks to me like you haven't. Not sure which gts had and didnt have abs. If you have abs you will most likely have a light on the dash on start up
