  1. not usually about city, but some wednesday nights in thetford retail park (mcdonalds/currys) carpark theres usually a meet up of a few like minded people, mainly jap fans but some others come along aswel ;)
  2. Tbh I only met him a handful of times and never saw hom driving it, but he did ramble on about the terrible fuel economy of it so id guess he did have a bit of a heavy foot. He seemed to have good intentions but they never really bloomed. But hey aslong as its still in a good mechanical state it should be fine ;) I doubt theres many n/a bits I need either, most parts on my car are now from a glanza but cheers anyway

    Rear Brakes

I should state that the drums were before I converted to discs, but my corolla uses them and 3 years after buying it theyve never faulted

    Rear Brakes

The last two mot's I've had my rear disc brakes have only just past on 16% or something silly, so far drums ftw never had any hassle with the other than the look and rust lol
  5. indeed it is mate haha, only bits I have are 98spec rear seats, the door cards and thats about it, the rest of the stuff I have is from an n/a.
  6. not much of an update just a few pics of the recaros and how far I've got with heat wrapping my manifold whilst i wait for the last few parts to arrive at toyota. i have officially desided heat wrapping is one of the biggest chores on the planet im only halfway through but found a couple of very small cracks that need welding up, so just gotta take it to a local exhaust place and have him run a small bead over them! before someone asks the random pipes between the different runners are equalisers designed to help midrange torque apparently lol theres 2 on the front and 2 on the back well h
  7. hi welcome, where you from fella you cant be to far from me. im from watton, norfolk. did you buy this of a lad called martin by any chance? i recognise the car and he said he was selling it. anyway goodluck with the car and hope ya enjoy your stay

    Hks fuel rail

them hks ones look really easy to copy, i could make one at work, spray/anodise it and flog it saying the hks badge fell off
  9. Good write up, cheers taggy/admin for that, might have to do this to mine one day!
  10. Nice and precise there lol why not just say 100, still thats appalling, hope they dont sell your lead boots anymore
  11. Its quite funny most my mates get pissy because it manages such good mpg yets is still pretty rapid
  12. In mine 1.6 4age I managed cruising at 80-90 on a motorway 35mpg and that involved a very lengthy flat out blast. This was over a 320 mile trip. Taking it easy ill get high 30's low 40's. I dont think therd be much difference between the two cars just the lack of torque in a civic would mean more abuse, throttle revs etc so maybe high fuel consumption
  13. Loving the amount of time effort and changes your cars had theres something abouy these cars that you just cant let go of lol
  14. Well, I did say it was prob a k24 or atleast running nos, theres alot that can be done to the k20 to make them quicker and until we know any different that civic had typical boltons an maybe a tune. Probably has alot more bit who are we to speculate, this is a starlet forum not a civic one. And us jap junkies will always stick together
  15. It also depends on how much drivetrain loss there is, if the civics putting down 180-90hp and the focus 240hp for example, then the difference is made smaller, then youve got the fact the st might have TC which with all that torque would no doubt be kicking in then limiting the power therefore tipping the balance in favour of the civic even more. This is just speculation of couse
  16. haha that involves thought and effort! both of which i dont have today
  17. yeah just look in the members section, flick it to join date. you can see exactly when people joined up ;)
  18. yea all you really need is the caliper carriers from it, then the discs, pads etc u require, also braided lines and new fluid would go a miss. then also try a brake master cylinder stopper ;)
  19. sorry my bad been drinking
  20. [media=]http://youtu.be/UUKt4_8w-Zs rs's are slow lol or do a k24 conversion then they're really slow lol http://youtu.be/tGAzpe77OgQ
  21. im holding the lowest number lowest posts so far
  22. i dont think the person with with the civics being honest or the focus isnt 330hp.
  23. do you plan on going 4efte eventually? if so spend some extra, 256mm from a turbo are a lil bit better but nothing amazing. I've got them ebc yellows and ebc discs. braided lines and 5.1 fluid and 900kg car, and my daily corolla 1100kgs on oem mintex pads and discs also 256mm stops almost as well!! i want to go for levin twin pots or bigger celica single pots. bit of hassle but seems to be worth it from what most people seem to say
  24. a mk4 r32 is 240 hp 4wd and 17 tonnes a mk5 260 and 21 tonnes, a stock ep3 will walk all over one of them, they aint nothing special lol
