  1. ITB's are so full of win, the sound alone is worth every penny! stick some 5efhe cams and springs in it and get it mapped and would be fairly nippy and sound awsome
  2. as said i dont mind paying, its a good forum lots of info and knowledgable members that are worth having access to, obviously the perks for paid members would be a given, maybe try getting a few websites that can give discounts, on standard parts like discs and pads service kits etc. im sure you guys will let us have a say in what should and shouldnt be accessable to unpaid members
  3. 256mm discs pads is really prefference, I've got yellow stuff, but mintex ferrodo hawk and various others do good pads
  4. Surely if it had 4efte internals it would be low comp, therefore less powerful? :s
  5. They all sound the same, and the poping is prob vauxhauls shit factory map. Bet if they were actually tuned properly they wud shift and not pop either lol I had a astra vxr in my car, n/a all day He wasnt best pleased haha
  6. The bugeye corollas 97-99 are 88ish hp and go pretty well considering the size of the car, regarding mods and power to be gained it really isnt worth the hassle. No doubt the wiring would be different and cause a ball ache aswel! Skim the head 5efhe cams and springs etc and chuck some management on there u might make 105-110hp but money spent to cud get a 5efe with that for less! If u want high revving u need a 4age 2zzge or beams 3sge, all big money to put in a starlet lol
  7. Im still waiting for some bits but havnt bothered chasing him up about it lol
  8. Mapping is where you get either a piggy back ecu or a complete stand alone one. It allows the fueling, timing etc to be adjusted and setup for that engine, as every engine is different, standard 'maps' are very safe and therefore not making the most from your engine On an n/a you wont see very big gains, maybe 5-10 hp but on a turbo it can meen the difference between a car running badly say td04 unmapped or safe preloaded map 170hp ish or not atall to being mapped to 230hp with a very nice smooth idle with good power delivery. Bit on a dodgey description but im tired lol
  9. I've been stopped more times in my mums automatic micra in 14months than in my starlet that I've owned 5 years!, gota ask yourself how is a bog red micra on steelies more suspicious that a lowered black ep with tints and loud exhaust. It only managed 100mph twice ffs!! Haha
  10. Bunch of asbo wankers I've managed to be stopped for going too slow, saw they were following me so sat at 30 in a 60, my mate sticks his arm out the window doing the wavey wind catchy thing you do and they pulled us, told me I was a hazzard for going to slow haha Got asked why my car was top to bottom filthy (i wont go into why ) told him my drive was really muddy and he agreed with me after telling him where I lived....then the standard breaherliser n let on my way. Sometimes I wonder if they have anything else todo hah
  11. I had a copper come into work when I was doing a quick night visit, headphones on minding my own business, turn around to be confronted by a copper I jumped outa my skin n swore at him haha Tbf he was just making sure I wasnt raiding the place or anything. But the amount of times theyve been passed seen my car there yet they still think im trying to rob the place :s
  12. if they do it id deffo reccomend TDI north, northeast london area, quite a few people from the norfolk make the effort to go down to them and come back with blinding results. experienced tuners on all makes of cars and give very smooth power delivery and great figures aswel.
  13. Thats an evo with a ep82 shell on it ;) or may aswel be atleast lol

    Slimline fan

Slimline fans are on ebay, some even come with the mounting ties aswel ;)
  15. Some awsome pics this month I would have to say though the dave b pic with members by there cars should be the calender cover IMO
  16. Dont want to be tje bearer of bad news but its posible your car had a shunt with its old boot and its moved with it, fit a new boot with straight hinges etc it wont fit. Try fitting your old boots hinges to your new bootlid? Or change everything over and cut tje relevant holes for the glanza number plate surround in your old boot. Other than that im all out of ideas :s
  17. Naa once you here a 4age 20v on open throttles you will never say that. Trust me ;)
  18. Haha naa sorry I've been hanginh with honda boys to much, kpro is an ecu, hondata k-pro they all use it and make crazy power gains. A friend type r runs dc sports system and tegiwa intake mapped on kpro at tdi and made 214whp thats a 60hp + gain!! Its nuts for an n/a 2.0ltr Yeah any conversion is fair money, driveshafts alone would be a good £500! The only thing I would say if you do do a swap go extreme, they all require the same amount of work and costs so do it on something worthwhile. 4age only 160-70hp (i did mine cheap and still cost me £6-700 in parts without an engine,) a stock.tfe
  19. If any were to be done your best bet would be k20 from a civic! Custom mounts, driveshafts, exhaust manifold. Stick it on k-pro with mbe inlet mani and 3" exhaust and u got 250hp n/a whore!! If a 2zzge can be made to fit sure as hell a k20 can ;)
  20. Im using the one tegiwa supplied with mine, 16psi, so 1.1bar I think, its just a black plastic cap with a tegiwa sticker on it looks poo lol. I am running a 170hp 1.6 just like the civics though but I want to change it as its very bland so will prob uprate to a 1.3 bar cap I think Good thing is theres a mass market for civics so plenty of choice ;)
  21. hahahaha these people are hilarious, the old d2 keys pulled straight out, whether or not these do or not i duno but id be well happy with this result! got yourself a bit of a bargain there i think haha
  22. Id tell him to take it up with the garage them, he should get the money off of them, im sure if you had have been told straight away you would have taken them back with refund and then advertised them as spares etc. The garage employee that signed for them is at fault in reality
  23. Why did said person take so long so long to make you aware, the idea of signing for a package is to check that they are in good condition. If there not and they still sign for it its the own fault therefor they are to blame, not you. I unferstand youve got a business to run but theres a limit to good will gestures. Personally 3 months is too long time to make a complaint yhey could have been thrown down some stairs for all your aware. Just my 2cents ;)
  24. I've got a feeling there 42mm, they dont sell any like the originals any more. Black cap with black label with chrome speedline writing and half circle around the top and bottom of the writing.
