  1. i just posted these up on a massive post on facebook, 3 of my mates are thinking about buying them for a laugh......... not quite sure what kind of a laugh they thinking of though
  2. I should think some will be heading to the memorial meet for dave from there, maybe meet with them then head to f/s from there?
  3. i like . bet it took loads of takes tho lol
  4. cheers dude, and got that a couple of years back at jae on mersea island whilst getting smashed with them.... haha good memorys
  5. fair enough, atleast then you would know you were getting a part that fitted properly though haha
  6. the HEL ones use a small rubber sleeve similar to the ones on the ep70 youve pictured but they need ones like the ones on the ep82/91. im wondering if they were fakes/knock off ones, as the place i got them is no longer open. I dont supose you do your ep91 lines with a banjo fitting on the end??
  7. Put bluntly my brothers has just split, and mine just failed its mot on an excessively worn one, both less than a year old!! Plus they dont actually properly bolt to the shock so you have to faff about with an adapter Also has anyone got a spare front set of desent front brakelines??
  8. agreed or atleast paint them white!! cars looking sweet, really like the remix bumper on this getting me thinking
  9. could always have them filled up with nitrogen if your that bothered about changing pressures (it remains at a more constant pressure over changing temperatures), most tyre fitters can do it sts holburns etc. for a small cost. but obiously you would want to find out what pressure you would want to be running before having them filled.
  10. and its a 1.3.... haha
  11. i get 30-34mpg outa mine albit a 1.6 and n/a
  12. ahh well nope, not a FCD but a SLD yes! thats one down one to go
  13. nope and my cars n/a so no need for a fcd ;)
  14. got two new things to add to my car soon, going to be needing a 3rd item because of one of them.... what could it be?? hint: there both hks
  15. Sounds awsome! be interesting to know when the ellecy motors actually being used, cant be just pit usage, must be under acceleration etc and must be using some sort of k.e.r.s aswell id assume? Still lets home it gets some results
  16. as long as the vibrations from the engine dont trigger any sensors on the alarm it shouldnt be a problem it will just lock up like usual also the alarm will take 30secs to actually set in most cases. The remote start is your biggest worry because ideally you want a neutral switch (to tell the alarm the cars in/not it gear) which manual starlets dont have so fitting one of these somehow is advisable. my car can be started in gear and actually drive off by itself!!
  17. im on bc's massive difference between soft and hard, so can be ajusted to suit your needs. only thing i can say with bc's is that adjusting them correctly (not moving the spring seat) the rears dont go particularly low, whereas im sure meisters do!
  18. Haha some of you guys are nuts, but fair play, every little helps as they say. How many people have been in striped hondas? my bros got a ef civic, only left in front seats doorcards n dash. Its far noisier rattlier than my car n its the same with most I've been in they dont seem to be built quite as solid as ep's. They all seem to squeek and shake alot more :/ Oh and my bros civic is a daily! Dont ask hes lost it lol
  19. seeing what that thing started out as is unbelievable!! shame he broke it for spares yeah im much the same, im just seeing what people think/have done etc I've just gone for stripped out rear, looking for new wheels and going to remove some sound proofing. not up for perspex and all that. altho a nice lightweight battery like nightspirits might be a good idea
  20. haha well yes, this is true but im too lazy to do exercise so i expect my car to loose weight instead
  21. right im just thinking about how much weight its possible to remove from an ep, more so a ep91 because i have one starting with the obvious spare wheel. rear seats rear plastics sound proofing. rear wiper ass. these are the easiest most obvious and cheapest mods to do saving maybe 30-50kgs say. other free or cheap mods but more extreme are removing braces within the doors and boot converting to winder rather than ellecy windows?? again you may save if your lucky 5kgs i know a few people that have gone further and removed carpet, roof lining, drilled out the underside of their dash, drilled holes in door hinges and other panels, personally this seems silly and just makes the car to bare and rough for a daily or non track orientated car but people do still do it haha then you get the things that cost money. bucket seats plastic windows carbon bonnet wings (are they much lighter?) doors and boot? do they do them? light weight wheels now the standard ep seats weight is what 10-12kg so you may save another 6-10kg depending on how deep your pockets are and the seats and rails you get. wheels again depending on pockets but sr speedlines with tyres weigh 14kgs each approx so you could save around 3/3.5kgs a wheel so call it 15Kgs a set by getting a semi decent set of jdm rims then the bonnet and wings may save you 5-10kgs windows im not sure on maybe 10kgs for the rear 3.. so total so if you take a top spec uk ep91 at 920kgs 74bhp = 80.4bhp per ton (being rather optimistic) do the simple bits 1st thats 870kgs = 85 bhp per ton then the more extreme cheap bits 865kgs = 85.5bhp per ton bits that cost money seats 855kgs = 86.5bhp per ton rims 840kgs = 88.1 bhp per ton Carbon 830kgs = 89.1 bhp per ton perspex 820kgs = 90.2 bhp per ton like i say that is being VERY optimistic with the savings that you would actually get but it gives you an idea of how you can make a few extra ponies for free now take geo's ep82 kudos 727kgs if that was running a uk 4efe it would be 101bhp per ton with his engine 110hp if not more, and that works out at 151bhp per ton!!! gives you an idea of why that thing is so rapid!!! so have i forgoten anything obvious or has anybody done anything else a bit extreme to save weight p.s yes i was bored
  22. After seeing yours im tempted by it, is your box from a 4e or 4a? Guessing the 4e, but im guessing the levin 6spds differ from the 2zz and 4e ones, everyone has trouble with them on forums :/ I mite just get a 6spd n a 4.3 f/d n see about fitting a a/m lsd and maybe find a longer gear for 6th for cruising if its possible. One good thing about mine is I can do 80 at 3500rpm or less which makes it fairly eco on runs haha
  23. mines fubar'd loosing shed loads of power thru it most people recon they loose 25-30hp mines 45hp if the dyno readings were anywhere near acurate! so looking for a 5spd lsd from a ae111 but they are imposible to come by, i did however find one on jap yahoo auctions. full trd gearset 4.312 final drive etc.... starting bid £1236 errmm ill pass haha not sure if the 6 speed would fit in my bay either, if its got a bigger casing on the 5th-6th gear end of the box then it wont, but the 6th gear on the ae boxes is apparently a real weak gear aswel!
  24. Think this thing would be quicker than mine until I sort out my sh*te gearbox, gearings far too long in mine really dies in 4th gear compared to this thing, its imense!!
  25. dont go for pradas if u use your car daily, brilliant in the dry but the 1st sign on damp and there terrible. you really have to slow down on them ;)
