  1. i was just wondering how people cover up their URL's on there build threads in theirs sig's etc? so rather than having http://www.ukstarlet...opic=8661&st=45 i can have click HERE or whatever. but obviously with the previous link embedded in it or whatever it's called also anybody any good with laptops on not loading some webpages running windows 7 on my home wifi i cant load some pages, ebay wont load at all uksc wont load straight away until i click diagnose then cancel it. and most web pages take two or three attempts to work and google images crashes after about 30sec's for the time being I've been using my phone on the same wifi which works fine! using the diagnosis that IE offers it comes up with this 6 Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (primary DNS server) Detected The device or resource is not responding to requests. This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including: Internet connectivity has been lost. The website is temporarily unavailable. The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable. The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain. There might be a typing error in the address. If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section. I've tried running through a load of steps on a couple of websites but nothing seems to work, just cba to reboot the whole thing or take it to a pc repair place and get mugged off lol
  2. welcome along and enjoy your stay
  3. been in a ek vti civic with BD discs and ferrodo pads n high temp fluid, brilliant setup esp. considering it was all oem fitment.

  6. the pedobear ones a good one im only at page 14 so far and been laughing loads
  7. friend posted this up on facebook some good laughs in there http://www.pistonhea...+Lewis+Hamilton hope you enjoy
  8. 7age isn't worth the hassle from what I've gathered less revability of the 4age with slight torque gains, plus to do it propperly you need a porsche 922 cambelt or something like that and that puts the cam gears out slightly so then pulleys are needed. then an ecu is needed. stick a 20v bt 4age in it and have a 160hp and 120lbft ready and waiting with out any of the other hassles
  9. im so glad someone else has finally mentioned this whole VAG reliablity thing. from my own experience i think there a pile of sh*t a good 6-8 of my friend own or have owned VAG's and they've been nothing but trouble. egr valves, thermostats and there housings, head gaskets, water pipes perishing, eating through brakes, wheel bearings, aircon pumps the list is endless. and not a single one of the cars is older than 8 years old and has less miles than my 1.4 corolla and almost all of them have spent more on repairing their cars than i did buying and keeping it going for the last 2 1/2 years. then when you bring it up they just say oh its the dub way WTF!!! anyway rant over
  10. Im looking into doing this, if its NI its fine insure it and just bring in back and for £55 approx u can reregister it in england, but if its from the rep of ire then its gota be propperly imported and SVA'd etc which I've no idea how to go about it. A load of info on this can be found on the direct.gov website ;)
  11. Be interested in the steering wheel and boss kit possibly got any better pics?
  12. Haha big lol but his is a 3sgte albeit imaginary
  13. Not a 7afe no, the newer 2zzge engine from the 190hp gen 7 celica has been put in one tho. I could fit a 7afe in mine now if I wanted to as I have a 4age in it, and since its an 'a' series it should now bolt in. I dont see what you would achieve from a 7afe tho there what 130-40hp?? just 4efte it and you would have that power alot easier and cheaper
  14. happened to me the other day apart from it was epic understeer, good thing the corolla's got rallying blood in it so just used a bit of the bank and carried on lol
  15. If it works stolen from a friend on facebook can get fullsize pic if necessary
  16. Got a lovely rasp to that ;)
  17. I know this is an old thread but id thought id shed some light on the whole 4age thing, so people know whats involved in doing a conversion like this. Before you start, make sure you deffinately want to do this, once started theres no going back to a 4e, well not easily anyway. you will be removing your drivers engine mount and maybe even the passengers one and the battery tray (I did) Willing to cut your chassis rail on the passenger side as a minimum, if you want to keep P/S A/C you will also need to cut the drivers one! 1st thing is dont put a time limit on this swap, take your time test fit the engine as many times as possible, i had mine in and out 6-10 times when cutting the chassis rail amd lining it all up and i still have a small rattle under hard acceleration in 1st and 2nd gear!! If your doing a 16v swap then you can fit it in there front to back with only having to pull the rad tighter to the slam panel, or i brought a OBX manifold that gave me a couple more mm of room. if going for the 20v the mani is about 40mm deeper so a civic rad will be needed, or a modded to fit 16v mani will have to be used (this is what im using) If converting from a 16v to a 20v you can fit the intake plenum in because the motor will be mounter a little bit futher forward because of the smaller manifold All the mounts will have to be custom made or moddified, so will the driveshafts best way would be go custom (4age inner and 4efe outer C.Vs) i have heard that 4efte inner C.Vs are the same as the 4AGE and this means 4efte drivshafts can be made to fit (if you use these to center the engine when installing the engine) but this is only something I've heard and cannot confirm it unfortunately!! and the wiring loom will have to be sliced together (there is a company in america that can do this for you) but research a descent sparky and haynes manuals etc really do make the difference or just go stand alone!!, also uk spec 4AGE's and 4EFE's (i think) have the pin outs on the inside of the ecu which helps loads when tracing wires back and forth. other things needed i found were front facing fans for space in the bay a ep** poly rear engine mount to stop the rediculous amount of movement the uk spec one has! a custom exhuast, battery relocation (recommended), Upraded fuel pump. The other thing which may seem quite obvious is do any servicing and painting/coating of parts etc before the final fitting of the engine as you are limited for space after the engine is in place. Now there are loads of things missing no doubt, I am willing to help anyone who desides to do this swap, but first find people to do the jobs you cant do yourself, it took me months to find someone to make me a custom driveshaft and if im honest i would do mine differently. as I've used 4age inner and outer C.Vs with custom hubs but i have only got 1 custom shaft. i would personally have 2 custom shafts and stock ep91 hubs and C.V's Anyway this should clear up some bits and bobs about this swap and probably put a few people off doing it aswel!! if you are going to be doing it Go for a 20v or a built 16v as theres no point in putting a 125hp 16v in when you can get the same or more from a 4efte.
  18. Three of my friends have already crashed their cars this winter!! one not his fault but wrote off his mint low milage ep3 none the less!! This was before it got icey, so if you are driving about just slow down and leave more space between cars its colder and less grippy now!! And remember its not necessarly guna be you causing an acciedent but you can help yaself from getting invovled:)
  19. Basically I've been looking at buying a corolla levin/trueno bzr, now theres not many in england yet a quick look on donedeal I can find a fair few, and a bit cheaper than in england aswel So thinking about a road trip to Ireland for a new car but want to get any info I can I was wondering has anybody got any experience in bringing cars over? Or exporting them? Whats the cost of re-registering it in england? How much is the ferry for a car? Will I have to retax it in england onces its reregistered? Whats the deal with the NCT vs MOT will I just start getting it MOT'd when the NCT runs out? How will I insure it befor registering in england, it being on an irish plate? Im just thinking if I go over for a weekend look at a few cars and bring one back, what hidden costs there might be? Any info would be greatly appreciated cheers Oh n sorry if this is in the wrong section :/
  20. Ahh it wont fit mine as its uk spec and my centre brake light will be in the way, be a shame to cut up a mint shelf! Never mind buh, GLWTS tho

  24. http://www.wickedstyling.com/index.php?mai...398_428_450_646 Bottom one £34 will make you car a little bit more rattley on idle and when pulling off as its a harder mount than factory, but engine feels more resposive as theres.less movement
