a few of my friends have had them but been hassled by the 5-0, try it till you get pulled for them worst case, prob a £30 fine and told to change them. otherwise just a slap on the wrist lol

I had greenstuff pads on 3g discs and flushed all the old fluid out on my n/a setup and they were really good, upgraded to fte setup with yellow stuff on ebc discs and dot 5 fluid and wouldnt say they werr an awful.lot bettet tbh. Id deffinately save for a celica or levin setup if id had known how little difference there was. P.s sorry for the spelling on my phone and have fat fingers

Its might just be an older box, I have a c52 box now from a 91 4age that has an alloy cover, but newer ones on 4afes came with steel covers. Cant tell you the differences but id guess the ratios would be different. They may also use different cv joints on the turbos?

I think I have a pair of old 98 spec na calipers laying about, might need to clean them up abit but cover postage n u can habe them. If I can find them lol

i managed about 170-80 including 3 runs at pod to the first half of my tank but its now down to about the last quarter at 220, recon ill get 250-70 on a run if im lucky

all I've ever heard is that the handbrakes suck on ep's with rear discs, mine do. if you want a decsent HB stick to drums lol

basically im wondering if anybody has tryied to change the speedo in a uk spec dial? i dont want to put V dials in as i dont want a boost gauge and i would guess id need a speedo converter and i dont like the idea of having 180mph clocks. i have a spare set of corolla clocks with 140mph and 8k rpm (still not enough for me but its better than 7k lol) i was wondering if anybody had attemted fitting these (or similar) to our dials and if they had been succesful in doing so? any info appreciated otherwise ill be doing it alone lol

my car did this after i removed the charcoal canister, but only when warm and only when i had just filled up with fuel. (completely different setup i know) but all i did was let the fuel tank breath to atmosphere and block of the vaccum line on the inlet manifold. strange considering my older setup engine ran fine with it connected

WHats the problem youve got, understeer oversteer? Etc Have you had your tracking done? Checked tire pressures, bushes, arb droplinks, ball joints, trackrods all ok?

Unfortunately its one of the risks with buying a car, being an internal engine problem theres no way you can really know if theres an issue without dismantling :/ And The fact that it was running 233hp is towards the topend of what a stock 4efte can handle without uprated internals again is a risk you have to consider when buying.
