If you want to do it cheap, do like my friend. Shave of 1,5mm on piston, He has been running like this a few years, 223hp with a tb28 turbo. Or leave it stock, and boost 0,4 bar. -

You have unstable ignition signal, or too strong for the ecu. We often see this, then we absorbe(not sure it is the right word).some of the signal. Around 100kohm on the signal

Did the problem come just now. Never had problem with oem ignition.

i use stock 5efe in mine. untill now they work fine

Haha mabey, i didnt think of that when i built my 5e, just took som stock 5e, but friend told me, when he wanted to order, they told him, they had different numbers

You are right, they have the same number, funny why local toyota dealer said something else, hmmmm

Our local dealer said they were different, but look like they have same part number

20% power loss of 243hp, will be 194,4 hp. 20% is too much on frontwheel drive, when we have FWD on dyno, we can se the power loss, it is around 10-12%

All standard ecu run very rich on full trothle, when you change the clock frekvenz, you raise the rewlimiter, and change the injector time. So when you change cams, you often want abit more rews, then afr is still on the good side . But tell me about you experince.

Well, we have done it many times on 4afe/4age/4efe here in denmark. Have you ever tryed it ?

If you want to raise rew limiter, you just change the crystal in ecu.

Took the engine out, now run a 5efte, but the old engine is still running in a friends ca, as stock, no turbo. Only have some pictures.

Thing something else break first, i am running 2,3 bar, around 440hp on stock 5e bolts

I did that on my old 4efe engine, just installed turbo kit, and 4efte injectors, and mapped it with mapconverter(35 pounds) It had 290000km on clock, ran it for almost 2 years
