for a start if its a full stainless system no matter what the flanges should be stainless as from my understanding welding a carbon steal to a stainless doesn't go very well (not a welder just from what ive heard) secondly if the rest of the system is stainless and the flanges are carbon standard steal then they will act like a sacrificial anode and rust a hell of a lot faster due to the nature of stainless not rusting.
don't worry I bent my volks a guy got the bends out for 25 pound and he done a great job with min paint damage Its fixable just not cheap i just need to ge them painted now only on the rim
I had this same issue new wire and new knock sensor but still code 52 after reading this it needs to be earthed? I asked a lot of people who said it doesn't ? mikey be nice to get a little run down on running a new wire or fixing the earth etc if you could
right !!! I put in some octane booster and the car is running 10 tems better I think with higher boost as im only running standard now and my timing checked properly(as its just been fiddled with at the moment) its should be sorted
when I fixed my wire and put in a new knock sensor it got better every time but my fueling is still miles out on WOT goes to 10.0 and maybe below but my gauge doesn't go that low idle is fine and not on boost is fine
Ah right mine is after new sensor and new wiring so gona go for new wiring again and shorten the pig tail to have more shielded wire and see what that does, changed the timing and it runs 100% better but still throwing up the code
Hahaha if mine went wrong again I was going to set mine on fire to!! Let me know how you get on mate as I have another lambda there as well but can't see it being that throwing a code 52
do the swap be different this is why the modding seen is going down hill people sticking with whats been done , don't do the norm just go for it. sounds like a cool little project and it would be one of a kind
