It will be a while before mine is in, the fella that's going to build it said it would be at least feb. not bothered about cutting mine either, would just like it to look half tidy lol
I got mine out without breaking it, used vice grips and gently wiggled it until it came out. was just the grommet was perished and came apart, only a few £ for a new grommet.
There is another model starlet that basicly plugs straight in with no modifying needed as far as I know, something tells me its the gls model but not 100% sure
Have you had your ecu unplugged or anything? Mine did this after I put my ecu back in, but after taking it for a drive to let it adjust a bit was fine after
Just realised I misunderstood your 1st post. But yeh that's not ideal as you could end up making more boost than your spring is intended for if here is a leak. Prob worth taking the spring out and checking the diaphragm for any damage then
