  5. That's a shame since you had most of the stuff gathered up and all. Itb's will sound good!
  6. There's a metal lip on the backing plate that can get caught on the drum, had a similar issue with mine a while back. Is it all the time or just under braking?
  7. Are you not turboing it anymore then?
  8. 5th gear cover is different. N/a box has black pressed cover Turbo box is cast cover
  9. You want to T into the pipe you have from the turbo to Bottom port on wastegate to get your pressure source for the solenoid
  10. If you put your hand under the screamer at idle can you feel fumes? Also what kind of wastegate is it? I had similar issues when I fitted mine, would only make 0.3 bar. Turned out to be the wastegate spring, even tho I bought a .7 one. Those eBay wastegate springs are dung. Could also try a bleed valve and see if it improves any
  11. No just a split pin, pair of pliars to remove it. Remove the big nut, something tells me 22mm but could be wrong. The drum should pull of then. Then follow Colin's advice on removing the bearing cups.
  12. Front mount is far better, was 1st thing I fitted to mine. Lag isn't very noticeable on the ct9 anyway! And you won't lose power, if anything you'll gain some from colder/more dense air. Mine pulled so much stronger with the fmic. I've seen kits on eBay for less than £200
  13. Does the engine management light come on when it dies? Try doing a diagnostics and see if it brings up any faults. http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showthread.php?71074-EFI-self-diagnosis-system-*
  14. Yep! Still so much to get tidied up before Saturday tho!
  15. http://www.cp.com/en/whatwedo/workshop-equipment/trolley-jacks/ I have the 3 ton version of this, it's low entry, lifts quickly. Good jack
  16. For taking mani and all of def easier to take rad out, I tried to keep it in but gave up and was so much easier without it. As for decat, you don't need to remove it. I cut a spanner in half to get in easier and it worked a treat
  17. Use a red bulb? My 98s were missing the red cover and that's what I did
  18. Wow that turbo kit looks awesome! Let me know if your selling the ct12 in future ;)
  19. Change your spark plugs? I has similar issues, usually happened at low revs when the car was just warming up. Changed back to copper plugs and it hasn't happened since so I'm hoping that was the cause.

Just make sure to check fueling on a wideband when your setting boost to be safe. If you don't have one most tuners have one they could put on for a dyno run etc (that's what I did)
  21. I made a bracket and used a threaded bar to hold mine shut (ct9) it's held firmly closed and there is no movement in the bracket. Gives you the option of you ever need to go back to internally gated, not that I plan to tbh!
