yep if you were to do through all the trouble of hacking all the car apart making a new tunnel ect all the mounts for everything, sorting out a new petrol tank too .... ect you might aswel put a better 4wd system in there. this has been cover loads of times before. if your serious about a 4wd i could be tempted to sell mine in some state or another...
  3. not all vf turbos are bb. my mate has a vf28 on his stock 4e with a race tech inlet it makes 252bhp at 1.09 bar. its a good turbo and just pulls harder and harder. you really need to rev it out and bounch of the limiter a bit to help keep it going though. a vf35 will spool slightly later than a td04l but make a good bit more top end. mines making 324bhp at 1.55 bar on a 5e. theres loads of info and builds, dyno graphs for different vf turbos about on the forum now.

it will be cheaper to buy a 85 or 95. the cars dont come up for sale that often and theres even less spares about. the only person who had a spare set of running gear was gaz and i think it went with the blue one when he sold it.
  5. ive got a helix paddle in mine and i found it less harsh than a trd organic one! a great clutch and can handle big power!
  6. the throttle cable now runs behind the inlet as the civic throttle body works the other way round to the starlet one. it has a bit of a tight bend in it after it comes through the bulkhead so thats probably the problem. i will check what you said though when i get chance, cheers
  7. It wont be cheap. Mines already got a 5e in it ;)
  8. Yeah sure is a kp! I've not bothered with the 85 since that last drag day except to mot it. I was ment to race it on sat but ended up sorting my mates cars instead. It's not taxed or insured any more. It needs to go back for the map adjusted a bit low down and sort the idle and throttle sticking issues, very scary when throttle sticks at full boost coming up to a roundabout! I had to go round pulling on the handbrake to reign it in! I doubt I would get up mate as I've got loads on in the coming weeks. After blasting my mates ek9 about I really wanna build up the eg. Got loads of bits ready for a swap.
  9. I've had evo 8,4 and dc2 recaros. The evo 8 ones are diffetent on the bases and won't fit any aftermarket rail for a starlet unless its modified or a custom job
  10. get your self down!! its a good weekend. i will be there on saturday.
