who was the monkey off tgtt? valve seating should have been checked by him, when the head was off... did he replace the valve stem seals? get the head skimmed? just out of curiosity where did you spend the other £250? you need to really find out to what extent he did the job and go from there...
got it in the post, tried to fit it but it keeps sliding off the belt clip....no matter how much i tighten it, it just slips off the belt clip as im driving along...annoyed tbh anyone else tried there luck?
timing belt cover you mean? the silver one is the earlier FTE engine with thicker rods, common myth that they are stronger...it has been proved they are both of the same strength
clean the shaft with brake cleaner and the inside of the bearing...apply a thin film of lithium grease on it also you see that "ball" thing the fork levers on put some in there too...
just had his dinner going to crack on with it... my flywheel was very rusty, took me a while to clean up the friction surface left the rest of it looking rough/rusty.....didnt even look at the center section of it ive covered 14k since with out problem
the release bearing goes through the same abuse all through its service life, its designed to take that kind of load.....could be the pressure plate pucks have bent with you trying to get it into gear with the friction plate in the wrong way round.....going to phone amjad in a sec
the only thing left is the flywheel bro, everything else seems to have been ruled out..... the friction plate should say something like the pic in the link on it...."T/M side" />http://exedy.co.uk/techinfo/jtunerad.pdf
