im using a glanza inlet and 45mm throttle body with a k+n panel filter.....dont have any money otherwise id have the 100bhp trophy by now you need to get a wideband + safc and get your beasty setup properly i have a spare N/A ecu so will try the above when i get a chance ^
-
this ^ is my second gripe people need to actually read and understand what mods they want to carry out and hows its done not just follow each other like sheep....ohhh corolla mani this.....ohhh glanza tb that...i need a ecu now etc etc running around for more power you need a adpater for the fuel rail fpr + hoses get one like this http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-page/regulators/ dont cheap out a safc get the last one before the neo it has a joy stick control this model also allows two maps to be had a wideband my personal preference is http://www.ngk.com/afx/

6.5-7k is the max anyone without cams will need this can be done by changing the crystal in the standard ecu (these are hard to get hold of tho)....can use a safc to map the fueling along with a fpr and a wideband so theres no need for a different 4EFE ecu nor injectors if you have your old ones cleaned to make sure they are at optimal flow the 1st gen 4efe has the thicker rods i remember someone who stripped on down on here to rebuild it...purple ep with a orange block if anyone can remember i think the current 4efe which most of us have share the same rods as the glanza...i read on tgtt so
-
He means dont go together as in, the glanza tb is 50mm and the 4branch inlet is 45mm ^ also enzo from my understanding of what youve said (all 4efe's came with different headgaskets?) will the comp ratio not change?? In the picture above they are equal
-
With the higher rev limit the powerband will shift the glanza tb + inlet will give top end having sacrificed bottom end the best combo is the 45mm throttle body and glanza inlet this gives you best of both worlds... Fpr + wideband + safc should see most people safely gain atleast 5-10bhp with the ability to save fuel too depending how its driven
-
Your looking up the wrong avenue, also imo the standard injectors are fine for atleast 100bhp ....has anyone actually tried a wideband on there n/a? (a proper weld in one not a shove up the exhaust pipe one) Tried a safc? Got the standard injectors cleaned? From what i can see after the induction mods no one has altered fueling....this is where i believe the rest of the power lies Get fueling spot on at the correct afrs and see where your at Everyones running around like headless chickens

Were the valve stem seals not replaced!? you need to let the engine breath normally, any oil in the ports will have gone by now if theres any oil it will be in the exhaust itself of which there cant be much (how much did you have to top it up by?) how much is it burning on a daily basis? Were the valve guides removed/cut short? It may be they are letting oil past? Just a thought...

tried them for my budget £45 per corner they have unknown el-cheapo ones....going to ring the local kumho stockists tomorrow

As above, looked on the net and theres nothing decent apart form kumho KU31`s which are out of stock at camskill with no due date really want to get the standard biscuit wheels off what with all the rain lets just say ive had a few nice surprises....

-
dont be a softy go have a look
-
just disconnect the battery for abit same thing, reset it take it for a drive to warm it up then give it the usual abuse (you know the type ) and re-check for codes
-
what happened after you cleared them? came back?
-
can the calipers not be sanded down to fit? how much interference is there?
-
ill take the brakes pm me your paypal will they fit under 14" wheels?

have anyone mounted a Zep Racing Shift Link Pillowball????
Asad replied to motion's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
these are the best ones to get, they have give and allow some movement whereas the skateboard bearings and the brass ones dont allow any sideways movement so will eventually cause wear on gearbox.....aslong as youve got the dimensions of the zep ones you can source them cheaper -
Miester, i did ~8000miles on mine 400-450 miles a week...motorways/more round abouts you can shake a stick at/foooked up roads you name it!!! and i loved them!! theres no point having them on the softest setting as theres no resistance so you will feel all the bumps the road throws at you, i tried loads of different settings and settled on having the rear softer than the front why? the starlet is really light at the back and having the coilovers harder at the back just results in bang....bang......bang really uncomfortable!! (imagine a empty wooden cart being taken over a cobbled road) hav

love how he degrades turbos....looks nice shame its not turbo + manual "WITH ALL THE RELIABILITY OF A NORMALLY ASPIRATED TOYOTA AND NOT A DODGY TURBO IN SIGHT" something for iamlegend to drool over i guess..
