you went from a stock airbox yes? the hissing is actually the turbo spooling up. and the chattering is fine too. they used to make those noises, it was just cut out by the airbox.
-
you wont be older than shelly mate. shes like, 68 i think. you can always come over and sit with us, were old.
-
thats pretty much it. the lubricant you use when claying dries all the dirt and filth onto the car. so it needs a clean. the other day we did this. wash>clay>wash>cut>polish>wash>glaze>sealant>wax>qd took 2 days. but its worth it.
-
surely some of the southend nubs are going ^^ itll be a nice intimate convoy otherwise ;]
-
thats pretty much bang on. i think you need to change the shafts/mounts as well. although i cant remember exactly.
-
you cant have lifters on a 4e head. they use buckets ^^ if youre getting them done from scratch, id go for new overbuckets that were made to suit. you can get underbuckets aswell though. i had both on my glanza.
-
you have to wash it after you clay it too. just so you know

fuel cut, cuts the fuel. thus, stopping the car revving up, but the caveat is also a lean burn for a split second. its a pikey way of stopping it revving up. ignition cutting is better but it produces mc flames (that all a bee*r is/does) so you cant really have that on a stock car. unless youre sitting there bashing it off of fuel cut constantly nothing bad will happen. hitting it once and using that as a warning is the best way to go about it. at the end of the day, its there to stop you damaging the engine, if it was really going to borg the engine, it wouldnt be there/would be let l

if you cant get it off at the hub end (they seize for fun) its really easy to change it from the inner end. it literally falls out of the hub its so easy to take out.

Has Anyone Changed To A Non Pas Steering Rack?
StarletRick replied to Bean's topic in Chassis & Suspension
the PAS rack is fast enough to use mate. i used it on mine without PAS and it was fine. -
look for breakers on ebay etc. shouldnt be hard to get. in the meantime you can bypass the matrix on the firewall so you can still use the car. just wont have any heaters
-
yeah, im pretty sure everyone else will be the same. why not just have it as, you know, a time attack? fastest lap wins etc. fancy dress is fucking stupid. we shall have GTCM battlolz instead.
-
that is rediculous. fuck that. i want to go kart not play dress up.
-
ill agree with that. idrees mate, your map must be tragic. if my car is getting better fuel economy than yours there is something wrong. its a 300hp+ 2 litre to start, is running more boost than you (on a bigger turbo), injectors are about twice the size of yours, and its a nissan (all performance nissans run rich as stock). even my glanza, which was pretty high up there with the big boys, used to get about 250 miles to a tank with mixed driving.
-
depends on condition. if the shells were borked and the crank needs a grind then not very much. 200 quid at a guess if its all in reasonable nick.
-
nonsense. unless your turbo is shagged to pieces, stalling the compressor wont do any damage in my opinion. i ran completely BOV'less on my glanza. and that was running stupidly high boost with a massive turbo. never had any issues.

thats a standard 98 front bumper. with an OEM replica carbon front lip and a yaris RS badge.

those engines do not like being boshed about i have to say. they are ok for a qucik blap but extended kaining fucks them up really fast. we put one in a kitcar a few years back. its spend more time off the road than on it. ALWAYS something dying on the engine. its a stock low miler aswell. keep an eye on the oil temp!
-
bliney that is close!
-
mikey, youre always a grandad. dont try to pretend mate ^^ but as harry said. get a second car if you want fuel economy. can dedicate the starlet to having lulz then. its much better that way.
-
id recommend you either get someone whos done it before or read a guide how to do it. if you dont clay the car properly or do it wrong, you can seriously fudge your paintwork up. improper claying can leave really deep scratches in the paintwork.
-
we need lorry drivers and cabbies etc to go on strike. only way anything will get noticed. otherwise its just a bunch of cunts on forums moaning about it on the internet
-
yeah, doesnt give quite a show shine. but the durability is rediculous. but of QD at a show will sort the shine out though

Question For N/a Owners.. What Cars Have You Beaten On A Drag?
StarletRick replied to Rickstar's topic in Lifestyle General
medium? so you're a gayboy then -
it is a joke, i dont even look anymore. i just get on with it as there is nothing you can do. you need fuel. and the government have you by the balls. you lot want to count yourselves lucky. starlets are great on fuel! try getting 300 miles to 70 quid.
