  1. good luck getting that SVA'd youd only be able to use that on track at best!
  2. i have the new HSD CS2 ones. they poo on the teins. shame they dont do them for starlets, as they are fucking EPIC.
  3. holy fuck, look at all the orange! rear wishbones rear traction arms rear toe arms rear camber arms front tension rods lower front arms lovely polybushes front lower strut rear differential strut omnomnomnom
  4. that would make it rev up, not stutter. only MAFs get that. starlets use MAPs.
  5. you wont love it after this weekend mate ^^ it will own your face.
  6. yeah, id say its the tps too. have a check to see if its pluged in properly.
  7. ah rite. i dont really do things by halves. if im going to do it. ill get it done properly! shotblasting it cleans it all up so i can check the welds properly and make sure its all lovely and nice. last thing i want is to have to take it off next year because its all rusty and shit ^
  8. this has been covered 1234564 times! http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?act=search
  9. i only did it in stupid orange, as it was the same price as black. so i though "fuck it". the work of that rear subby will show in the handling once its all sorted out ^^
  10. ive not updated this in ages, as i wasnt posting. but now im back. heres a mansized update. right, i havent updated this in an age! so heres a big catch up! i took her off the road a good while back to give it a nice overhaul and fit a few bits and bobs that need fitting. i then decided to get to work on the engine. that PE turbo had spent too long on the cupboard for my liking. out came the stock turbo and all that crap, and in went the PE. while the engine was appart, i took the chance to powdercoat the cam cover and other bits. nice? after a long old search, i FINALLY found an
  11. sounds to me like youre using the wrong oil. may be too thick when cold and thats buggered your turbo. a one off incident where you didnt let it warm up wont fuck a turbo unless something else is wrong. what grades of the oil are you using.
  12. honestly, you 2 need to come. you were both lush last year, it wont be the same without you lot there. stop being jews, and come along. even if you have to jump in with rob and amy. we will even give you a drum of thatch as a token gesture of tc goodwill.
  13. fuck that. the pair of you are coming. end of story. andy, sort it out you fanny.
  14. youd be surprised when you start revving the motor out.... it can make a decent difference. and thanks geo, i though they were the same!
  15. if anyone is interested, i could smash out another gb for the tc shifters?
  16. i dont believe you, plusgas can unseize anything. youre not trying hard enough
  17. get some plusgas and a blowtorch. youll get them off. dont be a gayboy ^^;
  18. dont hold your breath, i wont look too hard into this. im done with tinkering with 4e's ^^ im just interested as i had always thought that they were the same (and still believe that to be honest). varying lifts on old used cams doenst really mean anything. could be wear and tear for all anyone knows.
  19. that is true. but that is rediculously high. if your car is pumping that out, the MOT is the last of your problems! if my old starlet passed its MOT, any starlet can pass. i doubt that; but even if it is, it wont have any specifics. the japs dont do CO2 tests (not when the Vs were flying about anyway), so there would be nothing to run it against. VOSA use manufacturers specifications to gauge the tolerances on specific cars. there are none for starlets.
  20. ah yeah, i know Dale. he does know his onions no doubt about that. that said, im pretty sure there isnt an apparent difference in the cams. if the figures are different, that would tent to suggest its a machining issue rather than a deliberate change. interesting discussion though. id quite like to have a look my self, i think i have some fe cams at home
  21. id just like to see some proof of that. as ive never heard that before. was my understanding that they were all the same except for the fhe cams. only difference i knew about on the fte from the fe was the valve springs.
  22. 4ewfte have higher lift? you got any proof of that?
  23. not really much to say to be honest. just open up the ports as much as you can to increase flow. the runner for piston 3 is the most important, as they are stupidly restrictive stock. you wouldnt get your little finger in it.
  24. they will both be really fucking ugly as well ^^ your little rep is too pretty for a rank lip like that.
