  1. If there too tight to use a ratchet with a 180degree bendable head, youre best bet is to remove the water rad, then you will have more room to get a socket straight onto it. Also try a 12mm spanner on the two mount bolts, then get another spanner on the end of the open side, that way you'll have alot more leverage on it. If there ceased in there, heat the bolts up then give them a few taps with a hammer, the shock will help release it. There an ass to get off if you have the radiator still on the car, and theyve never been removed.Once you get them out they will be a piece of cake to get of
  2. I think the guy who owns that blurple V lives somewhere around chatham near me, because i allways see the guy driving it about.Shame he doesnt wave or say hey ever.
  3. Mate, after youre little go in my starbo last nite, you know we have to turn youres into a sleeper
  4. Piece of piss bud, if you get stuck or need a hand just give me a shout! Be good to see you back in youre GT as theres quite a few members around medway now
  5. Also if youre running a digital gauge, the sendor unit might have crud around it.Take the sendor out and give it a clean off and refit. Mine does this every few months so i usually chuck fresh oil in at the same time, as im taking a reading from a sandwich plate. Check that before you whip the sump off because it might save you a bit of time. Digital gauges can be a bit on the touchy side, if the probe gets any shit near it. Mechanical gauges are the most reliable, but saying that, you wont get as accurate reading as you would with a digital gauge like the defi's.. Give it a try if you ha
  6. Theres a vacum line from the back of the intake manifold. I take my boost gauge and boost controller readings from the rear of the intake manifold. The more t pieces youre running, the more likely you are to have a vacum leak, so keep them as direct as possible
  7. Oil pressure will be high when you first start the engine cold, as its having to work harder pumping thick oil around. When it warms up it should be idling around youre mark. Mine starts cold at 85ish psi (5.9ish bar) warm idle about 25-30 psi (1.72bar-2bar) on wot its about 85-90psi (6ish bar) and after a heavy session, say around a track for 15 minutes, it may idle as low as 22psi. Are you running a temp gauge too bud? There very handy to have fitted too, there my 2 main dials i ever look at.
  8. This is for a 5e but it will give you the general idea. 5E Timing Guide
  9. As stated, the valve is more than likely sticking.Thats if youre sure there isnt a boost leak, and its boosting fine. Take it apart and clean it all, use some light machine oil to re-assemble it.
  10. You use a T piece, so you have a pipe comming from the actuator to the T piece. Then just plumb it up as if you had the 2 outlets on the old actuator.easy.
  11. Gaz, i meant if you pm me whats wrong with the GT, ill pop over one night and have a look at it.Last i remember of it, it was only petty little things. Dont let them stop ya when there cheap little fixes
  12. Gaz why dont you keep it? Forget the paintwork because thats not a problem, especially living in medway. Hence why ive left mine looking haggard for so long, at least i dont worry about leaving it in car parks now If you want to get it up and running, pm me with details on what exactlys up with it and ill price it up to sort it and get the ep back on the road. Id have thought it would have been alive again by now. Craig
  13. Ive been thinking about doing this, with a certain hks gtss turbo
  14. Them arch extensions dont exactly widen it much though do they, id say 10mm extra ish. If youre after anything more than arch rolling on the rear and frp wings on the front, you'll have to custom make some. If you do go custom, think seriously about using steel to make the arches, not fiberglass... After my last experience of widearching my old saxo with fiberglass, it wasnt fun. You'll be constantly repairing the arches if you abuse the car.
  15. Basically, it happens when youre dumpvalve spring is too tight, or youre not using one. To sum it up, the built up pressure doesnt get released via a bov, so it has no where to go but back through the turbos impellor backwards.. Which means the turbos spinning up, then as the pressure reverses backwards through it, it suddenly spins backwards.. As it does this, the impellor blades cut the air up and make a chattering noise.. Not healthy for the turbo, but it wont instantly kill it.Sometimes you cant help it. When theres alot of pressure built up, it will sound like a high pitched squeek, mu
  16. Cal, thats Darren, Daves son. Even if they were painted outside, the whole car looks freshly painted Love them wings, but then again you could have guessed i did And Ricks V, thats the first time ive seen it with a shine ! You should keep it like that more often mate ;) Bet the neighbours loved them 3 starbos comming down the road to say the least lol

  18. HappyHardcore & dark DnB ftw! Loving tunes from hixxy and darren styles...Then on the other end of the spectrum i love darker style dnb like logistics, hive, noisa etc Allthough i have to admit, i was a punkrock fan a good few years back ;)
  19. Under £100.. depends what condition and how many miles its done bud. Also ct9a or b?
  20. Have fun modifying the chassis to fit the evo rear diff, there huge feckers. imo use the 4x4 starlet drivetrain and uprate what you need to with custom parts, it would save you a lot of hassle shaping the chassis to fit the evo setup.
  21. You two are me heros ! I didnt think about lookin underneath the rubber where the spoiler brake light wires go haha..What a numpty i am ;) I want to prep my bootlid up and attatch my spanking new spoiler ;) Craig.
  22. Hey Mark, the green sensor with the 2 vacum lines is the aircon idle sensor. As Jay stated, it increases youre idle speed when the aircon is switched on ;)
  23. Looks like you open the bootlid, and theres 2 black vents on either side, which looks like there hiding rivets of some sort on the spoiler? Anybody removed one before ?
  24. Ill be there as long as i can bring the tin of primer on wheels again
  25. Loving it ! Well impressed. Nah i didnt see it bro, i had a good look for it but i couldnt find you , or ya EP for the rest of the day.. Really wanted to see it too, wanted to sex wee on the wings and mirrors
