96/98 spec front bumpers a straight swap?
WallaceGlanza replied to mattyD's topic in Exterior Design
No they don't. The brackets at the front are different, if you're going from 96 to 98 the brackets off a UK NA will fit. -

You'll need to make sure the bolt pcd for the bells also matches - not just the diameter of the disc. If you haven't already bought and fitted them that is...

K-Sport Coilover Replacement Parts
WallaceGlanza replied to Vincent-ep91's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Rings might not be universal as the damper bodies/shocks/inserts vary in diameter. -
TD12 is a CT12 exhaust housing with welded wastegate, TF035 compressor housing with modified flange and polished inlet and TD04 internals (centre and both turbine and compressor wheels). kenmaychris made 260bhp on this at 1.4barrrrr

And the oil too! Pretty obvious but when I first got my glanza it had the cracked head too, a garage changed the head for me but didn't bother changing the oil and the turbo feed ended up blocked, it died a week later.

They're not actually that big as the oem ones are cut in half.

I was surprised at how cheap things are for the BMW, if you're doing the things yourself it's not expensive imo. Practical, good mpg (47) and still interesting enough, a big thumbs up from me for a 330d.

ct9 boost controlling question
WallaceGlanza replied to 1991 starlet owner's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
You can lower the boost as much as you want, it won't cause any problems. 0.6bar is standard hi boost, 0.4 bar is low. -
ct9 boost controlling question
WallaceGlanza replied to 1991 starlet owner's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
0.6bar is standard boost, you won't have any problems running that all day long. I don't understand your worry about the "oil feed dropping" either - do you mean low oil pressure? That's not related to the boost level you run. -
Depends on the ecu you're using also - you need to make sure the person doing the mapping has experience with it and is happy using it.

It's the empty tube right in the middle of that photo - that's where the actual cable fits anyway but the cable is clearly not there.

wanted! custom carpet to cover the back , so it looks tidy
WallaceGlanza replied to EP-Azz's topic in Wanted
Just buy some carpet and cut it to shape! -
I think you'll need more than 10 metres, I think I used 15. It'll only pop and bang if it's running a bit rich too - like a VXR map!

My Troublesome Turbocharged Terror
WallaceGlanza replied to WallaceGlanza's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
Certainly have, almost 8 years of pain! With the better weather coming it was time for the Glanza's annual clay bar, polish and wax (it doesn't get used enough to warrant getting done more often!). At the same time there were also a couple of small mods I wanted to do. First was some centre caps for the wheels, being an old style of Rays wheels the current genuine ones don't fit so I bought some generic ones and finally found some nice stickers to go on them like so; http://s202.photobucket.com/user/WallaceGlanza/media/My%20Glanza%20V/IMG_1483_zpsa016f62f.jpg.html'> I'd say they look goo -
My Troublesome Turbocharged Terror
WallaceGlanza replied to WallaceGlanza's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
Well seeing as I'm a proper member on here I thought I'd better update this.... So over a year ago with an MOT due and a handbrake that wasn't working I decided to take the Glanza off the road (oh the joy of having a second car!) to fix the handbrake and a few other bits at the same time - this was back in April - it took until mid September before an MOT certificate was issued! The list of things I was wanting to do wasn't long but as usual nothing went straightforward. The initial jobs involved this small pile of parts: New handbrake cables, rear caliper rebuild kit, poly rear -
Mine doesn't seem to like it either - it just spat a load of it on the driveway through a rotten fuel pipe, joy!

I seen this in ferfar the other night, was gonna ask if you knew who it was...

Definitely get the tracking done including camber - it will be out after you fit the coilovers. It depends on how low you go as to whether you need a panhard rod but technically as soon as you lower it then the rear beam is out of alignment, it's more noticeable the lower you go, you can physically see that the rear wheels don't sit square compared to the front.

I'm pretty sure a lot of members on here thought they were safe paying CJ Performance a lot of money for parts and that isn't looking too good so can't blame a guy for being cautious!
